Regent Phu Quoc Set for Spring 2022 Opening in Vietnam

IHG Hotels & Resorts will launch the first resort from its upper-luxury brand, Regent Hotels & Resorts in Spring 2022 in Southeast Asia. Situated off the southwest coast of Vietnam, alongside a UNESCO-designated World Biosphere Reserve and located just 15 minutes from Phu Quoc International Airport, guests will be able to immerse in Regent Phu Quoc's spectacular 176 suites and 126 villas, set against the serene waterfront backdrop of Long Beach.

Cross Hotels & Resorts Signs Vietnamese Mega-Deal

Injecting a healthy dose of festive cheer into Southeast Asia's hospitality industry, Cross Hotels & Resorts has signed a major agreement with Tan Thanh Trading & Tourism JSC to develop a mega-project that will see the opening of two new hotels in Vietnam with a combined room count of 716 keys. In one of the biggest greenfield deals in Asia since the start of the global pandemic two years ago, Cross Long Hai and Cross Vibe Long Hai are located in the stunning coastal province of Vung Tau, a two-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City.

Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts Arrives in Phu Quoc Island

IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world's leading hotel companies and MIK GROUP, a leading real estate & hospitality group in Vietnam, have officially opened the new-built 308-room Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay resort on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. Rowie Villacencio has been appointed as Director of Administration at ALMA Resort Cam Ranh, Vietnam

After Filipino national Rowie earned her undergraduate degree in accountancy and MBA at University of San Carlos in Cebu City, she started her hospitality career in 1999 as a service associate at Shangri-La's Mactan Resort & Spa and rose through the ranks to become the property's director of human resources. She was also director of HR at Movenpick Resort & Spa Boracay and later Alma.

Vu Thi Huong Giang has been appointed as Resort Manager at ALMA Resort Cam Ranh

Born and bred in nearby Nha Trang, Giang graduated from Nha Trang University with a major in food processing and started her career in 2004 as a waitress at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, where she steadily climbed the career ladder over a decade to become a food and beverage manager. She has also worked for Vinpearl Land and Mia Resort in Nha Trang, and was the food and beverage director at The Anam and then Alma. She was promoted to executive assistant manager of F&B last year.
