All-New Luxury Outdoor Resort, Terramor Bar Harbor, Coming To Acadia National Park Area Summer 2020

A new type of outdoor-luxe experience is coming to the Acadia National Park area this summer 2020 with the opening of Terramor Outdoor Resort in Bar Harbor, a first-of-its kind glamping resort located on the west side of Mount Desert Island. The 60-acre property will feature 64 luxury canvas tents set among the trees and oriented around a lodge featuring a bar and restaurant, store and equipment rentals. The property will also feature a nature-inspired pool and outdoor recreation areas where guests can relax and socialize.

Fathom Companies Breaks Ground on New Canopy by Hilton in Portland, Maine

Hilton's (NYSE:HLT) lifestyle brand, Canopy by Hilton, and hotel developer Fathom Companies have broken ground to start construction of the 135-room, six-story Canopy by Hilton Portland Waterfront, slated to open spring 2021. Located on the corner of Center and Commercial Streets in Portland, Maine's Old Port neighborhood, the hotel will also be home to an indoor/outdoor rooftop bar and a restaurant overlooking Casco Bay.

Maine's First Cambria Hotel Breaks Ground In Portland

Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) and Koucar Management celebrate the official start of construction on the state's first Cambria hotel in Portland, Maine. Slated to open in 2021, the new-construction, six-story, 102-room hotel broke ground yesterday during a strong year for the upscale Cambria brand in which six hotels have already opened their doors, with up to seven more hotels representing over 1,100 rooms expected to open in top-tier markets across the country before the year's end.

Cyril Amini has been appointed as Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment at Cliff House Maine

Cyril will oversee the food, beverage and entertainment programming at Cliff House, including all indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment, Nubb's Lobster Shack, as well as the property's two pools. He brings over sixteen years of experience to the Cliff House team, after developing and advancing his skill set at numerous hotels around the world. Most recently, he served as Food and Beverage Director at The Betsy Hotel in Miami, the W Retreat and Spa in Vieques Island, Puerto Rico, and as the Assistant Food and Beverage Director at The Ritz-Carlton San Juan.

Richard Carroll has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Cliff House Maine

In his role as Director of Sales and Marketing, Richard will lead and cultivate a passionate team of sales and marketing specialists, driving the Cliff House brand to new heights in the wake of the property's recently completed second phase transformation. Formerly the President of MPI's New England chapter, he is well-known throughout the region. Richard has previously held roles as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotel Viking in Newport, RI, and at Chatham Bars Inn.

Heinrich von Puschendorf has been appointed as Food and Beverage Director at Cliff House Maine

Cliff House Maine is pleased to welcome Heinrich von Puschendorf to lead its culinary team as Food and Beverage Director. With over 25 years of experience working at world class hotels and resorts, Heinrich brings his team leadership and expertise in client and guest relations to his new role at this premier New England destination. As Food and Beverage Director, Heinrich will oversee the entire culinary program for Cliff House’s impressive array of oceanfront dining operations. He is responsible for every aspect of food and beverage for the resort including the signature “farmer to fisherman” restaurant The Tiller, quintessential Maine Nubb’s Lobster Shack, in-room dining for over 226 guest accommodations, and coastal Maine-inspired catering for all weddings and events across the property’s 25,000 square feet of meeting and event function spaces. Heinrich joins the Cliff House team following the property’s completed transformation, which revitalized the 145-year old resort boasting a reimagined design, updated amenities, and additional guest room accommodations. Heinrich will lend his culinary innovation to the authentic and picturesque oceanfront dining experiences within the newest food and beverage venues that were also introduced as part of the new Cliff House. Before joining the ranks of Cliff House, Heinrich accrued an impressive array of food and beverage director roles at hotels and resorts across the country such as Fairmont Grand Del Mar, The Resort at Pelican Hill, Garden of the Gods Club & Resort, Chaminade Resort & Spa, Resort at Squaw Creek, and Tarrytown House Estate and Conference Center. He also led food and beverage efforts at Stowe Mountain Lodge, sister property to Cliff House, during a peak growth period and renovation while helping to elevate the Lodge to one of the top ski resorts on the East Coast. Heinrich graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Data and Business Management from Barry University in Miami, Florida. In his free time Heinrich enjoys tennis, golf, travel, the outdoors, and fine wines.

Nancy White has been appointed as General Manager at Cliff House Maine

Cliff House Maine, the iconic waterfront resort on the southern coast of Maine, is excited to welcome and introduce Nancy White as the property’s new General Manager. White, who was previously the interim General Manager and Director of Sales Marketing at Cliff House when the resort’s stunning reimagination project began in 2015, will now be returning full-time to oversee the second phase of the coastal property’s remarkable transformation set to be unveiled later this summer. It’s an important effort White enthusiastically considers just one of the many reasons she returned to the landmark resort. White is no stranger to the Destination Hotels brand, Cliff House’s management company, having been Director of Sales and Marketing at the award-winning Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ. Following that, White established her own respected business consulting firm, Workshop AZ, where she provided strategic leadership, master facilitation and inspirational coaching to management companies, ownership groups, and investors in both hospitality and service-related industry brands. A long list of White’s previous hospitality consulting experience include over 40 hotels, ranging from luxury resorts, major conference centers, urban-minded city hotels, and independent boutique properties located throughout North America, including many within the Destination Hotels portfolio from Stowe, Vermont to San Diego, California. White earned her degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and later continued her journey of self-development at Weatherhead School of Management – Case Western Reserve University, with a Master’s Degree in Positive Organizational Development and Change, and was subsequently named the Director of Leadership Honors Bootcamp and The Leadership Wheel foundation. She is also an influential and well-respected instructor at Georgetown University’s Master of Professional Studies in Global Hospitality Leadership program.

Janet Lincoln has been appointed as National Sales Manager at Cliff House Maine

Cliff House Maine is pleased to announce the appointment of hotel industry veteran, Janet Lincoln as the property’s new National Sales Manager. In this role, Lincoln is primarily responsible for the financial and insurance markets, as well as the retail/consumer goods, consulting, legal, and real estate markets. Lincoln joins the Cliff House team with over 25 years of experience in resort, suburban and city/convention properties. Most recently, Lincoln served as Regional Sales Manager of Scout Hotels & Resorts handling sales for a portfolio of properties in Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Florida. Prior to her role at Scout Hotels & Resorts, Lincoln held positions with Chatham Bars Inn, Starwood Hotels, and Hampton Inns. Lincoln is a graduate of Southern Massachusetts University (B.A. English) and is a past board member of MPI New England and CARE for the Cape & Islands, as well as past VP, Tourism for the Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce. Lincoln is involved with many charitable organizations, including the MA Breast Cancer Coalition, the National Park Foundation, and the Harwich Conservation Trust. She and her husband reside on Cape Cod.

Deborah Pillatsch has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Westin Portland Harborview

Jeffery Burrell, general manager of the Westin Portland Harborview, a Rockbridge portfolio hotel, today announced that Deborah Pillatsch has joined the hotel team as director of sales and marketing. Pillatsch previously held the same position at the DoubleTree by Hilton in South Portland. Prior to coming to Portland, Pillatsch was a senior sales manager at the Providence Biltmore and the MGM Grand-Foxwoods. She is a member of Meeting Planners International, the National Tour Association, Maine Innkeepers, Maine Travel and Tourism and the Regional Portland Chamber of Commerce, among other professional organizations.
