Talya Regan has been named Director of Marketing at The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark

Talya Regan comes to her new position with over a decade of experience specializing in public relations and marketing communications within the hospitality industry. Previously, Ms. Regan was public relations manager at Resorts World Catskills where she was part of the opening team and led a media campaign highlighting the launch of the highly-anticipated property. Prior to this, she was associate director of public relations and marketing for Frost Valley YMCA of Claryville, New York.Ms. Regan is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a dual minor in hospitality management and sociology. A native of Sullivan County, New York, she is active in giving back to her community, including serving as co-chair of the Thunder 102 Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radiothon. She resides in Rock Hill, New York, with her husband.

Stephanie Johnson has been named Divisional Director at LEGOLAND® New York Resort

A marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience, Stephanie Johnson has been named Divisional Director for LEGOLAND® New York Resort, parent company Merlin Entertainments announced today. An Orange County native, Johnson is yet another addition to the Park's growing list of locally sourced talent. In her new role, Johnson will direct, manage and create strategy for LEGOLAND New York Resort to meet and exceed attendance, revenue and profitability goals for the 150-acre theme park. Johnson's professional background spans a range of industries, from retail to commercial real estate. She previously held the role of Regional Vice President of Marketing for Simon Property Group's Premium Outlets division where she oversaw the marketing efforts of 26 properties, one joint venture and their corresponding marketing organizations. Prior to joining Simon Property Group, Johnson was the Senior Director of Retail Development and Operations at Ralph Lauren. Johnson graduated from Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management and earned her MBA at Nova Southeastern University. A mother to a seven-year-old and two-year-old, Johnson and her family reside in Campbell Hall, NY where she takes an active part in her community, serving as a member of the Orange-Ulster BOCES CTE Advisory Board. She also serves on the board of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce.

Kimpton Muse Hotel completes renovation of public spaces

Kimpton Muse Hotel, a boutique hotel in Midtown Manhattan, is excited to announce the completion of an extensive renovation. The transformation includes the lobby area, a new dining destination known as the Muse Bar, and a new state-of-the-art fitness center. Kimpton Muse Hotel worked with Kraig Kalashian Architecture & Design (KKAD) to transform the hotel and enhance the guest experience. While at the bar, travelers will notice studded metal tiles that reflect the gritty essence of Manhattan, and plush velvets that contrast, exemplifying New York's sophistication. The palette and furnishings throughout the bar and lobby consist of various textures and sheens, giving the space a layered and curated ambiance. The new Muse Bar serves delicious food and specialty cocktails. Menu highlights include Seared Diver Scallops, Beyond Burger and Apple Crisp. Cocktail highlights include War of the Roses, Knickerbocker Cocktail, Pornstar Martini and much more. Guests and locals can visit Muse Bar for a drink and bites in the evening or for the hotel's breakfast spread in the morning. The bar provides the perfect setting for a quick drink after work or a social setting before a night out on the town to or to see a Broadway play. Esther Barbosa has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Pestana Park Avenue

Esther joins the Pestana Park Avenue team with over 15 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry. With over 10 years of experience in the New York City market, Esther has managed sales teams, overseen multiple properties and directed overall office operations, most recently holding a Director of Sales and Marketing role for New York's Doubletree Times Square West hotel. Throughout her career, Esther has gained a thorough understanding of how to manage mega-agencies, consortia accounts, wholesale/FIT contracting, as well as groups and the corporate market. Having earned a Masters of International Development degree from Nagoya University in Japan, she has a unique familiarity of key international markets including Japan, Europe and South America. In her role as Director of Sales and Marketing of Pestana Park Avenue, Esther will lead all sales and marketing strategy, creating effective sales programs and a strong awareness of this new property as well as the Pestana Hotel Group overall in the United States.

José Carlos Fernandes has been appointed as General Manager at Pestana Park Avenue

José Carlos has over 20 years of hospitality experience, the last seven of which have been with Pestana Hotel Group. Having worked at a variety Pestana's properties, José Carlos has a deep knowledge in three of the four of the hotel group's sub brands - Pestana Hotels and Resorts, Pestana Collection Hotels and Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels - widening his understanding of its various operations. Prior to joining Pestana Park Avenue, he served as Hotel Manager of Pestana Cidadela de Cascais & Art District Hotel in Cascais, Portugal. A five-star hotel and one of the first in Europe to have an Art District on site, the property is part of the Pestana Collection Hotels sub brand, which is a series of monumental and historical hotels in Portugal and abroad that celebrates luxury and tradition. José Carlos has also worked as the Hotel Manager for Pestana Casino Park Hotel, the group's largest hotel in Madeira, designed by world-renowned architect Óscar Niemeyer. José Carlos also served as the Hotel Manager for Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotel in Madeira, the hotel group's first property that launched the CR7 lifestyle brand in partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo. He has also worked as the Unit Manager for Pestana D. João II Villas & Beach Resort located in Alvor, Portugal, an award-winning four-star hotel that is part of the Pestana Hotels & Resorts sub brand. In his role as General Manager of Pestana Park Avenue, José Carlos will manage all aspects of the pre-opening phase of the hotel and will be responsible for overseeing daily property operations once open.

Utilizing his years of hospitality experience, Bielski will oversee operations at The Pod Hotels' flagship property in Midtown Manhattan, Pod Times Square. He will have operational, strategic and financial responsibilities for the development and success of the property. Most recently, Bielski was the Hotel Manager at the Stewart Hotel, and prior to that, worked various roles at the Hilton Garden Inn New York/West 35th and Hilton New York Fashion District. Bielski is originally from Long Island, New York and graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor's in Economics.
