Timothy April has been promoted to Chief Information Officer at Vail Resorts

Vail Resorts, Inc, today announced that Timothy April, currently Vice President of Information Technology and Guest Experience, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective October 29, 2018. April will join the Vail Resorts Executive Committee and oversee all facets of technology for the Company, including innovative enhancements to the guest experience and best-in-class systems throughout the Company's operations. April replaces Robert Urwiler, who is retiring after 12 years with Vail Resorts.

Prior to joining Oracle Hospitality in 2014 (in connection with Oracle's acquisition of MICROS Systems, Inc), Mr. Upchurch was CIO and SVP of Global Hosting & SaaS at MICROS Systems, Inc. Duncan has held several positions in the information technology sector including her 16 years responsible for the IT structure and operation of 110 Wendy's restaurants. Most recently, Duncan served as IT director for A&A Global industries where she provided IT support for the company's diverse business needs. As director of IT with Chesapeake, Duncan will be responsible for working with leadership to ensure each hotel property has secure computer operating systems and effective support resources in place. He managed IT departments for Accor North America from 2002 until 2012 and, as Global Chief Information Officer for AccorHotels, oversaw numerous IT projects that contributed to the company's global digital transformation. From 2012 to 2017, Idrac managed AccorHotels' partnership with the Innovation Factory, the first innovation campus cluster in Paris. In 2014, he was elected to the Board of Governors of HTNG (Hospitality Technology Next Generation). He also served as a member of the Customer Advisory Boards of Oracle and Amadeus Hospitality and in 2017, received the Innovation Award from CHTA (China Hospitality Technology Alliance).

She will be based in Hilton's global headquarters in McLean, Virginia and report directly to Jon Witter, chief customer officer.

Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world's largest hotel companies, announced the promotion of Brian Kirkland to the position of Chief Technology Officer. In this new leadership role, Kirkland will oversee the company's overall information technology strategy, development and operations. He will report directly to John Bonds, senior vice president, enterprise operations and technology. Kirkland has been a key member of Choice's technology innovation team since 2015, which is based in Phoenix, Ariz. He previously served as vice president of engineering. Recently, Kirkland notably led Choice's efforts to successfully design and launch the industry's first new global reservation system in 30 years, choiceEDGE. Prior to joining Choice Hotels, Kirkland held leadership and software development positions at leading technology companies, GoDaddy and Media Temple. Kirkland earned his bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's in business administration from Arizona State University. He is also a member of Arizona's Information Technology Authorization Committee (ITAC), as well as Arizona State University's Executive Council for the Department of Information Systems.
