Hyatt Continues Brand Expansion in Africa with Plans for Two Hotels in Tanzania

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with ASB Holdings Limited for two Hyatt-branded hotels in Tanzania – Park Hyatt Zanzibar and Hyatt Regency Arusha. The hotels will join the previously announced Park Hyatt Marrakech and Hyatt Place Taghazout in Morocco, as well Hyatt Dakar in Senegal. There is currently one hotel in Tanzania, Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro, which opened in 2011.

Hyatt Announces Plans for First Hyatt-Branded Hotel in Senegal: Hyatt Dakar

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Lacoste & Cie S.A. for a new Hyatt hotel in Senegal’s capital city, Dakar. Hyatt Dakar will become the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Senegal, joining the previously announced Park Hyatt Marrakech and Hyatt Place Taghazout in Morocco, as well as Park Hyatt Zanzibar and Hyatt Regency Arusha in Tanzania.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Announces New Moroccan Resort in Agadir

Four SeasonsHotels and Resorts announced a third addition to its growing Moroccan collection with plans to open a new property in the resort town of Agadir on Morocco's Atlantic coast. The largest seaside resort town in Morocco, Agadir has long been a favoured destination for local and international visitors and is currently home to one of the country's most highly-anticipated resort developments at Taghazout Bay, which will be home to the new Four Seasons Resort Agadir. The Taghazout Bay project will include several hotels, two golf courses, residential properties and a central village and medina – the traditional pedestrian quarter common in North African cities.

Kempinski Opens Olare Mara Kempinski, Masai Mara Tented Camp

Kempinski Hotels today opened the doors (or rather tent flaps) to its all-inclusive Olare Mara Kempinski, Masai Mara Tented Camp. As the company's first property in Kenya, the Camp is located in the Olare Orok Conservancy Masai Mara, a one hour flight from Nairobi or 90 minutes from Mombasa. The Masai Mara is a large game reserve that stretches 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and rises 1,500- 2,170 metres above sea level. The terrain is primarily grassland and forest with clumps of distinctive acacia trees. Famous for the abundance of lions, the great wildebeest migration and the homeland of the Masai people, the Camp will allow guests to experience Africa at its finest.

Sofitel to Open the 171-key Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche in Morocco

The glass building designed by Belgian architect Patrick Guénard reflects the breath of modernity that the country's largest city is currently experiencing.
