Interstate Hotels & Resorts Continues to Grow its Portfolio in India on Strong Third-Party Management Platform

"This brings to five the number of hotel management contracts executed since we launched our third-party management platform in India," said Thomas F. "Our business model, focused on local contacts and in-country experience, has translated well to India and enabled us to establish a strong operating platform there. Hilton Hotels & Resorts Named Number One Hotel Brand in Japan for Fourth Consecutive Year

Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of Hilton Worldwide, has again been chosen as the “Number 1 Hotel Brand” in Japan, based on the annual Asia Pacific Hotel Business Guest Survey conducted by UK-based consultancy group BDRC. The BDRC brand ranking index takes into account a hotel brand’s scores for prompted and unprompted awareness, usage of a brand in the last 12 months, preferred hotel choice, loyalty ratio and intention to recommend the hotel to others.

JHM Interstate Hotels India Adds Management Contracts

Interstate Hotels & Resorts, the United States’ largest independent hotel management company, today announced that India-based JHM Interstate Hotels India, a 50/50 joint venture management company between Interstate and JHM Hotels, has signed agreements to manage two new-build hotels in India: a 62-room independent luxury resort in Kukas, Jaipur, expected to open in August 2010, and a 140-room Ramada Hotel in Amristar opening in September. Including these hotels, JHM Interstate Hotels India has executed a total of four management contracts in that country.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts, the nation's largest independent hotel management company, today announced that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Company Limited ("Jin Jiang Hotels"), China's leading hotel operator and developer, to create a platform to pioneer third-party hotel management in China. The joint venture, called Interstate China Hotels & Resorts, has already entered into discussions with prospective clients.

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi GM Wins 'Most Outstanding' At Hospitality Awards
