The iconic Sofitel and MGallery Collection brands within Accor’s Luxury & Lifestyle division have won a series of prestigious Tatler Best Vietnam 2025 awards, which recognise the country’s leading hotels, resorts, restaurants and bars.The Albion by Kirk Westaway, the casual British restaurant that opened in November 2024 at Hotel des Arts Saigon – MGallery Collection, was named as the “Restaurant of the Year” in the “Best-in-Class” category. This distinction affirms its status as the country’s first venue where diners can discover innovative takes on classic British cuisine. Nestled on this chic boutique hotel’s 23rd floor, with sweeping views of the Saigon skyline, this impressive culinary destination balances classic 1930s décor and creates modern dishes that highlight British flavours while embracing fresh, local ingredients from Dalat’s organic farms. The commercial terms of Australian hotel management agreements are more owner-friendly than elsewhere in Asia Pacific

SYDNEY – Last year, JLL (NYSE: JLL) and Baker McKenzie published the Asia Pacific Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs) survey, the most comprehensive study of its kind in Asia Pacific. This data has now been used to prepare a further report devoted specifically to the Australian market and draws from 46 contracts entered into between the beginning of 2018 and the end of 2024. Most interestingly, there is clear evidence that the terms of Australian management agreements are more owner-friendly than elsewhere in Asia Pacific. The major differences as detected by the survey are:

Trilogy Hotels marks its entry into the NT, inking a major deal to operate three hotels

Building on its strong growth, independent hotel management company Trilogy Hotels, has set its sights on the Darwin market, announcing today a significant partnership with the notable local family-run DCOH Group. This important deal will see Trilogy take charge of 417 rooms across three hotels, including Novotel Darwin CBD, Frontier Hotel Darwin and Smith Hotel Darwin.

Trilogy Hotels wins first premium hotel operating deal with Panthers Group

Trilogy Hotels and Panthers Group have signed a milestone management agreement where Trilogy Hotels will oversee operations for the five-star Pullman Sydney Penrith. Forming part of a $110m investment from the Panthers Group, the newly-built 153-room Pullman Sydney Penrith opened in August 2023, marking a significant moment for Western Sydney, as Penrith’s first five-star hotel. The hotel has an existing franchise agreement with Accor.Panthers Group is one of Australia’s largest entertainment groups with over 125,000 members across five licensed premises and employs 650 staff. The Group owns the premiership-winning Penrith Panthers NRL Team.

Hong Kong Takes Top Spots in “World’s 50 Best Hotels”

Two of Hong Kong’s hotels have been named the “world’s best.” The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) congratulates Rosewood Hong Kong and The Upper House for coming second and fourth respectively in the inaugural “2023 World’s 50 Best Hotels.” Rosewood Hong Kong has also been named Asia’s Best Hotel.
