Regal iClub Hotel, the new contemporary boutique hotel of Regal Hotels International, announces today that the hotel will be Hong Kong’s first hotel to go carbon neutral. This announcement coincides with today June 5th, the World Environment Day.
As part of this commitment to mitigate climate change, Six Senses - a world leading luxury resort and spa development and management company - has joined aid agencies, governments and private companies in supporting carbon emission mitigation projects. The aim of its latest initiative, Six Senses Reforestation Project, is to curb the threat of severe climate change caused by human-made hydrocarbon emissions and greenhouse gases caused by the burning of fossil fuels.
The Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts Sustainability Program has been officially launched at Swissôtel Kunshan in the morning of 22nd April by a tree planting activity. Stephen Fewell, General Manager of Swissôtel Kunshan, together with hotel management team members was planting two Sabina chinensises which symbolize green and vitality. Swissotel Kunshan also joined the Earth Day web site event and put Kunshan on the map with an online feed of the event.
