RIU Opens the Newly Built 238-key “Adults Only” Riu Palace Jamaica

Riu Palace Jamaica will welcome its first customers from 6th December onwards. This small and deluxe hotel comprising 238 rooms will become RIU's fifth in Jamaica and the first in offering the chain's exclusive 'Adults Only' service in the Caribbean country. Located next to the Riu Montego Bay, in the beautiful Mahoe Bay, this new 24-Hour All Inclusive hotel provides a modern and welcoming design, together with new and deluxe services. Total investment in the project, including land, construction and equipment, reached 43 million dollars (approximately 32 million euro).

Meliá Hotels International and Baha Mar Ltd. Announce Meliá at Baha Mar

The Chairmen of Baha Mar Ltd. and Meliá Hotels International today signed an agreement for Meliá to operate the all-inclusive Meliá at Baha Mar, in the luxury leisure development Baha Mar. The $3.5 billion (U.S.) investment, comprised of 1,000 acres with more than 3,000 feet of pristine ocean front, is just twelve minutes from Nassau International Airport. Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Announces Plans to Open Its First Caribbean Hotel

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants today announced plans for the brand's first Caribbean resort with the development of a 263-room hotel on acclaimed Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Developer Dart Realty (Cayman) Ltd. awarded Kimpton the management contract for what will be Grand Cayman's first design driven, boutique-style hotel and the first new development on famed Seven Mile Beach in a decade when it opens in 2016.

JW Marriott Luxury Brand Heads to the White Sand Beaches of Turks and Caicos

World-class luxury hotel brand, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, announced today during the Caribbean Hotel and Resort Investment Summit (CHRIS) its plans to open a new 380-room JW Marriott Hotel and Casino which will include 16 residential condos located on the island of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. The property will be operated by Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) under a long-term agreement with DesarrollosHotelco Turks and Caicos Ltd., a group made up of prominent regional investors.

In Haiti, Digicel and Marriott Break Ground on More than Just a Hotel

Digicel and Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) today broke ground on the $45 million 175-room Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand hotel in the Turgeau area of Port-au-Prince, with opening expected in early 2015, making it the first four-star branded hotel in Haiti. Hyatt Announces Plans for Hyatt House San Juan in Puerto Rico

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announces that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into an agreement for a Hyatt House hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico with an affiliate of Island Hospitality Partners, LLC, a joint venture of PRISA Group and McConnell Valdes Consulting. Puerto Rico Tourism Company Executive Director Luis Rivera Marín, PRISA Group President Federico Stubbe Jr. and other government officials attended a groundbreaking ceremony today, marking the construction commencement on Hyatt House San Juan, which is expected to open in fall 2014. Island Hospitality affiliates are also the owners of Hyatt Place Bayamón Hotel & El Tropical Casino and Hyatt Place Manatí & Casino, which are both currently under construction and expected to open in early 2014.

Starwood Hotels Debuts Its Four Points by Sheraton Brand in the Dominican Republic

Aloft Hotels to Debut in South Korea with Aloft Suwon

Hyatt Announces Plans for a Park Hyatt Hotel on Caribbean Island of St. Kitts

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) today announced that a Hyatt affiliate has signed a management agreement with Range Developments for a Park Hyatt hotel in St. Kitts. Slated to open in 2015, Park Hyatt St. Kitts will be located on the southeast peninsula of St. Kitts in Christophe Harbour, a 2,500-acre master planned community that is currently under development. The Christophe Harbour development project will offer a Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole championship golf course, a beach club and a 300-acre super yacht marina and marina village.
