Hailing from Australia, Garvey comes to the resort with an extensive hospitality background, specifically in sales and marketing. She began her career working for branded hotels in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. In 2006, Garvey joined Accor where she was tasked to head sales and marketing departments for a succession of Sofitel and Novotel properties in South-east Asia.

Michael Gaehler has been appointed as General Manager at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Gaehler as the general manager of Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali.A seasoned professional, Michael brings more than 33 years of experience within the high-end hospitality sector, having recently completed a stint as general manager of the Oriental Residences Bangkok. He previously worked at Regent Hotels & Resorts, managing the group's hotels and resorts in Montenegro, Taiwan, China and Indonesia.Michael began his hotel career as a chef in his home town of Zurich, Switzerland after graduating from the Swiss Hotel Management School Belvoirpark, transitioning to broader food and beverage roles at some of Europe's leading boutique hotels such as Villa il Tessoro in Tuscany, Hotel Le Vieux Manoir in Murten and Hotel Giardino in Ascona. He then moved to Asia and the Jia Causeway Bay in Hong Kong and GMH's The Chedi Chiang Mai, later assisting with the launch of GMH's Ananti Kumgang Mountain in North Korea, the country's first five-star resort.Michael is an incorrigible dog lover, believing that every dog should have a chance to have a home and a family. His extensive travels have allowed him to explore and understand many cultures and their food, enticing him to find the best local markets with the freshest produce. His new role with Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali will give him the opportunity to add the colorful markets of Bali to his list together with the archipelago's diverse cuisine.

Anil Kapoor has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali

Born and educated in India, Chef Anil began his culinary career as a trainee at Grand Hyatt New Dehli. After showing great promise, he was promoted to the position of Commis Chef in 1999 where he perfected his skills in the preparation of fine dining European cuisine. Chef Anil then enjoyed a brief stint as Chef de Partie at Leela Kempinski Mumbai. This was followed by time as Sous Chef at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, whilst he simultaneously studied for his Bachelor of Arts degree from Delhi University. In an effort to broaden his portfolio, Chef Anil relocated to Australia in 2007 after accepting a position at Novotel Canberra. However, he soon moved into a more senior role as Sous Chef for Crowne Plaza Canberra where he embraced the challenge of greater responsibility. From 2010 to 2017, Chef Anil was the Head Chef for The Hellenic Club of Canberra where he managed banquet kitchen operations for five busy venues. Now as Executive Chef at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, Chef Anil is in charge of culinary services for several distinctive restaurants as well as banqueting for events held at the adjacent Bali International Convention Centre. Highly experienced in overseeing busy kitchen environments, Chef Anil is suitably impressed by the comradely and creativity exhibited by his new Balinese team.

Fadhlan Karim has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali

Fadhland brings with him over a decade of experience in Bali's luxury hospitality industry. Previously, he held a position of pre-opening director of sales at The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas - Nusa Dua in Bali, senior sales manager at Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali, as well as Ritz-Carlton Bali which was rebranded to AYANA Resort and Spa, Bali. While growing up he traveled extensively with his parents' diplomatic postings and considers himself a citizen of the world. In addition to his native Indonesian, he has developed skill in Chinese, French and English languages. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Chinese literature from Peking University Fadhlan starts his day by doing Tabata, enjoys gardening and exploring Bali with his family. He says that had he not been a hotelier he could see himself farming and cooking the harvest of the day for them. Santiago Sagaz has been appointed as General Manager at Soori Bali

Soori Bali, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, has announced the appointment of Santiago Sagaz as General Manager, effective immediately. Mr. Sagaz will be responsible for the resort's 48 villas and residences, including Soori Estate, the single largest private villa on the island of Bali; Cotta and Ombak restaurants; wedding & banquet facilities; and the award-winning Soori Spa, voted "Best in Indonesia" by the World's Best Awards. Mr. Sagaz will also be a steward for the resort's newly formed Green Council and instrumental in village and community relations.Mr. Sagaz is a veteran leader in the field of luxury hospitality, having been at the helm of renowned properties from Brazil to Bali.
