Kelvin Ramm has been appointed as Cluster General Manager at The Westin and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane

The preeminent hospitality brand welcomes the appointment of Kelvin Ramm as Cluster General Manager for The Westin Brisbane and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane. Ramm is joined by Valerie Wade as Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing, Julie-Ann Watt as Cluster Director of Sales, and Pamli Bose as Cluster Director of Finance, all overseeing the two properties.A former Chartered Accountant, Ramm entered the hotel industry at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa in 2001. He held senior leadership roles across the Marriott portfolio, including as General Manager of their Melbourne and Brisbane five-star properties, before this new appointment.

Rob Unson has been appointed as General Manager at Amora Hotel Brisbane

Rob Unson brings a wealth of expertise in his new role as general manager of Amora Hotel Brisbane. In a distinguished career that began in 1994 with The Ritz-Carlton New York and spanning 30 years in the hospitality industry, Unson has taken on notable management roles at leading hotel chains, where he has consistently elevated guest experiences and operational standards. Prior to joining Amora Hotels & Resorts, Unson was Hotel General Manager at TFE Hotels, where he led The Calile Hotel Brisbane to achieve worldwide recognition and accolades as well as win awards. Most notably, the hotel came in 1st in Oceania and 12th globally in the World's 50 Best Hotels rankings. Prior to this, he was with Accor at properties in Australia, Vietnam and the UK.

Callum Kennedy has been appointed as Area General Manager at Rydges Hotels

After completing a successful $30 million all-room upgrade including the creation of stunning new spaces and experiences at Rydges South Bank in Brisbane, a project which has won both awards and applause nationally, hotel General Manager Callum Kennedy has been appointed to the position of Area General Manager. The new role covers a region stretching from Port Macquarie in NSW through the Gold Coast to Brisbane and is one of the most in-demand in the country in terms of both leisure and tourist visitations. 

Brad Mercer has been appointed as Complex GM at The Westin Brisbane and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane

Marriott International is pleased to announce Brad Mercer has been named Complex General Manager of The Westin Brisbane and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane. Effective 15 March, 2018, Brad will be pivotal in continuing to build the Four Points by Sheraton profile in Brisbane and in launching The Westin Brisbane, which is slated to open on 5 November, 2018. Brad steps into the Complex General Manager role with 22 years experience. He joined Marriott International in 2007 as Executive Assistant Manager of The Westin Denarau, Fiji, transferring to the iconic Sheraton on the Park, Sydney in 2010, as Hotel Manager. In 2013, Brad was appointed opening General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane, where his leadership saw the 246-room property win the Australian Hotels Association Excellence Award for Best Superior Accommodation in 2014. In his role, Brad will report into Sean Hunt, Area Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, Marriott International.
