Jack Murray has been appointed as General Manager at Kimpton Pittman Hotel

A native Texan, Murray brings over three decades of hospitality experience in the local market to his new role as general manager of the Kimpton Pittman Hotel. As general manager, Murray leads day-to-day operations of the hotel and oversees the creation of curated guest experiences suited to the level of hospitality the Kimpton brand is known for. Having begun his career with the Hyatt Hotels Corporation, he has since worked with numerous decorated Dallas establishments including the Fairmont Hotel, Hotel ZaZa, The Adolphus, InterContinental Hotel and Wolfgang Puck Catering. Murray comes to the Kimpton Pittman Hotel from The Joule, where he served as the regional director of sales & marketing for five years.

Thompson Dallas Opening November 2020

Slated to open in fall 2020 and being developed by Todd Interests, the 219-room Thompson Dallas will be located downtown in a re-development of the iconic 52-story First National Bank Tower—a recognizable fixture of the Dallas skyline. Billed as The National, the architectural design for the project is being led by award-winning Dallas firm, Merriman Anderson Architects, who are restoring many of the 1961 building's original elements, including historic marble from the Parthenon quarry. Contemporary furniture and works of art by local, national and international artists will complement the building's historic touches.

Ginger Martin has been named Regional VP of Operations at HEI Hotels & Resorts in Dallas, Texas

A 20-plus-year hospitality industry veteran, Martin became general manager of HEI's Le Meridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh in 2013. She held the position for seven years before being promoted to regional vice president of operations. In her new role, Martin will oversee several upper upscale hotels primarily located in the western U.S. region. Before joining HEI, Martin held several hotel executive positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Martin is a graduate of University of Phoenix with a bachelor's degree in business management.

Niclas Brattberg has been promoted to General Manager of Middle East and Asia-Pacific Markets at Biamp in Dallas

Edward Hahn III has been appointed as Director of Sales at Virgin Hotels Dallas

Dallas native Edward Hahn III brings over 20 years of transient and groups sales experience to Virgin Hotels Dallas as Director of Sales. Hahn arrives after effectively managing a division of group sales at the Four Seasons Resort and Club at Las Colinas. Prior to the Four Seasons, he held a variety of sales positions with Warwick Hotels and Resorts, Radisson Hotels and DoubleTree by Hilton. At Virgin Hotels Dallas, he is responsible for overseeing the sales and catering teams as well as the development of group packages and experiences. The hotel will feature over 14,000-square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.

Mark Yanke has been appointed as General Manager at Virgin Hotels Dallas

Yanke comes to Virgin Hotels Dallas with strong Texas ties and over 30 years of experience, having recently held a position as President and Managing Director at St. Anthony Hotel and President and General Manager position at Hotel Emma. As General Manager, Yanke is responsible for operational performance, strategic planning, and leadership of all departments ensuring exceptional guest service across all points of the hotel. His past appointments include over 20 years with Redstone Companies, where he started as General Manager at The Houstonian Hotel and went on to serve as President & CEO of Redstone Companies Hospitality. While at Redstone, Yanke oversaw the management of operations at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa; Lakeway Resort and Spa; and several Redstone golf clubs, including the Redstone Golf Club, home to the PGA Tour's Houston Open. A native of Detroit, his experience also includes a variety of senior operational roles with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and The Freeman Group.

Michael Scheel has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at Virgin Hotels Dallas

Scheel, who is based in Dallas, joins the team as Director of Food and Beverage with extensive hotel and restaurant experience having worked with a number of recognized brands including Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara, Shibuya in the MGM Grand Las Vegas, Vdara Hotel and Spa and Hooters Casino Hotel. Most recently he served as Director of Food and Beverage for Topgolf Dallas. In his new role, Scheel will oversee the guest experience for all of the hotel's dining and drinking outlets including Commons Club, the hotel's flagship restaurant, bar and lounge; The Pool Club, a relaxing social space for lite bites and cocktails; The Funny Library Coffee Shop, which will be located on the first level of the hotel; and all banquet and in-room dining offerings.

Mike Haddad joins Canopy Dallas Uptown with more than 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with expertise in sales and catering, food and beverage management, front office leadership and revenue management. Most recently, Haddad served as the General Manager of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Milwaukee Brookfield for nearly three years. He has also held General Manager positions at several properties including the Marriott Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Marriott Chicago Southwest at Burr Ridge and DoubleTree by Hilton Detroit Novi.
