Beth Harty has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Kimpton Claret Hotel

Kimpton Claret Hotel, opening this spring in Denver, CO, is pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Harty as director of sales and marketing. Beth is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with over two decades of hospitality experience in Denver. She began her career at Magnolia Hotel Denver where she worked her way up to director of sales before joining Kimpton in 2005. Since then, Beth has made significant contributions to several Kimpton properties in the intermountain west including Hotel Monaco Denver, Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City, The Sky Hotel, before joining Kimpton Hotel Born in downtown Denver, where she played a key role in the successful opening of the hotel in 2016. Beth holds a degree from Denison University and resides in Denver with her family.

Julian Tucker has been appointed as General Manager at Thompson Denver

A long-time leader at various Hyatt properties, Tucker began his career 25 years ago at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee working overnight in the Security Department. As he grew within the industry, Tucker took many leadership roles with Hyatt including Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hyatt Regency Long Beach, and Huntington Beach Resort and Spa, eventually becoming Director of Rooms at Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center after which he spent the next six years in the Caribbean at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad West Indies, Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort, Spa and Casino, before heading back to the states as the Director of Rooms/AGM at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs FL.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Announces the Kimpton Claret Hotel in Belleview Station

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts' luxury and lifestyle portfolio, announced the name of its newest Denver hotel, Kimpton Claret Hotel, and the appointment of its leader, General Manager Keith Siebenaler. Marie DeLibero has been appointed as General Manager at The Rally Hotel

Heather Etheridge has been appointed as General Manager at Springhill Suites by Marriott Denver at Anschutz Medical Campus

Commonwealth Hotels announced  that Heather Etheridge has been appointed the general manager of the Springhill Suites by Marriott Denver at Anschutz Medical Campus. Ms. Etheridge brings over 30 years of hospitality experience to her new role as general manager having previously served as the general manager of the Residence Inn Highlands Ranch in Colorado.

The Westin Denver Downtown recently completed a property-wide, multimillion-dollar renovation resulting in a complete transformation of the guest experience. Located in the heart of Downtown Denver, the renovation includes refreshed guest rooms, a brand-new lobby space with a green living wall and grand staircase, as well as a new meeting space with floor-to-ceiling windows. Throughout the design, by Parker Torres Design, natural elements and urban materials are incorporated to reflect the nearby Rocky Mountain landscape.

Genevieve Belou has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Magnolia Denver, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Genevieve Belou is also a long-time hotel industry veteran with over 10 years of experience in sales and marketing for boutique properties. She will serve as the new Director of Sales for the Magnolia Denver and was most recently the Assistant Director of Sales for the property. Prior to that, she has worked in sales for the Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, in Point Clear, Alabama, and Hotel Boulderado, in Boulder, Colorado. In addition to her work, she has been active in the meetings and events community and has served on the Board of Directors for Meeting Professionals International's Rocky Mountain Chapter(MPIRMC) since 2020. She recently won the Rising Star Award for Smart Meetings Magazine's Smart Women in Meetings and was the recipient of the MPIRMC's Rising Star Award in 2019 and President's Award of Excellence in 2021 and 2022.

James Ancona has been appointed as General Manager at The Magnolia Denver, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Ancona brings more than two decades of experience in the hotel industry, and has held positions in every area of hospitality from front desk to sales to housekeeping manager. He was most recently the General Manager for the Hyatt House/Hyatt Place in Downtown Denver where he was named "General Manager of the Year" in 2022 by White Lodging. In his new role, Ancona will oversee all aspects of the hotel, emphasizing an elevated guest experience and bringing his passion for service to the role.

Aspen Hospitality Opens First Urban Property: Limelight Denver

Aspen Hospitality, the hospitality division of Aspen Skiing Company officially transitioned the Hotel Born, located adjacent to Denver's Union Station, to Limelight Denver, effective today. To start, Limelight will implement select programming changes, including adding an adventure concierge and new philanthropic efforts focused on the local Denver community. Over the balance of 2023, additional enhancements will be made throughout the hotel as the property transforms to Limelight. The hotel is the first urban location for the Limelight brand, and joins the existing Limelight portfolio in Aspen and Snowmass, Colo., and Ketchum, Idaho. Two additional properties, Limelight Hotel & Residences in Mammoth, California, and Limelight Boulder are currently under construction and slated for completion in 2025. Aspen Hospitality also recently announced the planned expansion of its other hotel brand, The Little Nell, to Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Tommy brings expertise in development, investment underwriting, operational assessments, property and portfolio valuations, contract negotiation, and value creation through asset management for all product types and brands to develop strategies for achieving investment objectives. Prior to joining the industry, Tommy earned a business degree at Cornell University with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Real Estate. He also has an economics degree from UCLA and a culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of America.
