Erwan GARNIER ESSEC IMHI 2004 has been appointed as Director Business Development, Africa & Indian Ocean at CARLSON REZIDOR HOTEL GROUP Dubai, UAE - Cape Town, South Africa. Erwan is an hospitality professional with 15 years of experience in the development, strategy and management of luxury hotels on an international scale. Erwan's hospitality experience includes the launch and management of his own consulting firm in 2011 based out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Paris, France known as Mise en Place with assignments in Brazil, Italy and USA. Previously, Erwan worked for Hilton Worldwide (2007 to 2010) as a Director Brand Performance Support in London, UK focusing on the launch of Hilton Garden Inn brand. Earlier, Erwan worked for the Accor Group as General Manager of the Red Roof San Francisco, USA and then at the Sofitel Bora Bora & Private Island in French Polynesia, Asia.

Sultan Baddar has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa

Baddar has 16 years of experience in human resources, having previously worked in the region with the hotels such as Movenpick Al Bidaa Kuwait, Crown Plaza Kuwait and Intercontinental Doha. Baddar will be responsible for all HR related initiatives of Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa, as well as positioning the property as a favourable employer in the region, with an added emphasis on training and development.

David Wilson has been appointed as General Manager at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah

Wilson began his career in hospitality in various positions in the UK, Indonesia and Australia. Most recently, he was MD of Ritz-Carlton Beijing and JW Marriott Beijing. A career highlight for Wilson was his role as GM of Ritz-Carlton Bali Resort and Spa, where he successfully developed and launched 40 new on-property villas, a spa and a new restaurant concept. He has also worked for Shangri-La Luxury Hotels and Hyatt Hotels.Open since March 2014, Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah joined the brand’s flagship UAE property in Ras Al Kaimah. Waldorf Astoria is currently building its first property in Qatar, set to open in 2016.

Before joining the Grand Millennium Dubai, Mr. Hassan was working with Hospitality Marketing Concepts, Dubai, as Director of Sales Operations for Middle East, where he managed the sales forecast process, territory planning and strategic development plans of the region.

Imran Changezi has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah

Imran Changezi, a Pakistani national, brings over 22 years of commercial and operational experience in the hospitality industry, including nearly 15 years in high-end luxury hotels and resorts across various properties in Jumeirah Group. Imran joined Jumeirah Group in 2000, gaining experience and moving up the career ranks within the Sales, Marketing, Rooms Division and Front Office departments. His recent appointments include the role of Hotel Manager in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he managed the pre-opening of the Jumeirah Group property and Hotel Manager at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. His successful professional career is complemented by his academic education. Imran was schooled in Saudi Arabia and holds an MBA degree from London Business School and Cornell University.

Niamh Keohan has been appointed as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah

Niamh Keohan, from Ireland, joins Burj Al Arab Jumeirah’s marketing and PR team following directorial appointments at luxury hospitality brands including Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa and InterContinental Hotel Group in Abu Dhabi. She has 12 years of marketing and communications experience from working in hotel, FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors. Niamh also has a strong record in both managing marketing and PR teams and achieving great results after the successful opening of the Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa property two years ago. In her new role, Niamh will be responsible for managing all marketing and communications initiatives for Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and driving the property’s global presence as the world’s most luxurious hotel.
