Diego Hermelo Vidal has been appointed as Spa Director at Four Seasons Resort Lanai

With 20 years of experience in the spa industry, Vidal joins the Four Seasons Resort Lanai team from his previous position at Four Seasons Resort Maui, where he served as Assistant Spa Director. Vidal has traveled the world perfecting his craft, working with Four Seasons properties across the globe including Costa Rica, Taormina, Prague, Maui and now the stunning island of Lanai. Vidal will be overseeing daily spa operations, including staff training, treatments and retail, fitness facilities as well as the Resort's Yoga and Wellness program.

Avi Phookan has been promoted to General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Lanai

Avi Phookan is a veteran hotelier with international and state-side experience, joining Four Seasons as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Lanai. Prior to that he held a series of progressive roles, starting in food and beverage with The Ritz-Carlton in Grand Cayman and traveling to properties from Dubai and Doha to New Orleans, Charleston and Alaia Belize, including multiple pre-opening projects.

David Emig has been promoted to General Manager at Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort

With a more than two decade-long career with Four Seasons, David Emig has a wealth of experience at properties around the globe, most recently as Resort Manager of the wellness retreat at Sensei Lanai. He has held a number of senior management positions in diverse locations including the Maldives, London, Shanghai, Singapore and Austin. Sensei Lanai is the first wellness retreat in the Four Seasons portfolio, bringing a wellness intention to all areas of the operation. Emig knows how to coordinate the finer points of the first-of-its-kind partnership that brought the two together, with a focus on guest experience and service culture.

Ekrem Tercanoglu has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at Four Seasons Resorts Lanai

Tercanoglu, a 16-year veteran with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, has worked in management positions throughout Europe, Egypt and North America. Ekrem makes the move to Hawaii from the Five Diamond and Five Star Luxury Resort the Grand Del Mar, in Southern California, where he served as director of food & beverage. Prior to The Grand Del Mar, Tercanoglu was with Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence as the director of food & beverage. His past Four Seasons experience also includes positions at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach and Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles. Originally from Turkey, Ekram is a graduate of the prestigious Private Professional School of Hotel and Restaurant Management in Istanbul, where he earned a bachelor’s degree.

Michael Cho has joined Four Seasons Resorts Lanai as Assistant Director of Finance

Four Seasons Resorts Lanai – Manele Bay and The Lodge at Koele – welcomes Michael Cho as Assistant Director of Finance. In his new role, Cho is responsible for assisting in planning and effectively managing finance, budget and accounting functions and activities for the two luxury resorts. Cho joins Four Seasons Resorts Lanai with more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to his move to Lanai, Cho served as staff accountant at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. Before that, he worked at The Venetian Resort & Casino as guest services manager contributing to the hotel’s Four Star and AAA Five Diamond rating. Cho got his start in the hospitality industry as hotel operations supervisor at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

Darren Haley has been appointed as Director of Revenue Management at Four Seasons Resorts Lanai

Darren Haley has been named Director of Revenue Management at Four Seasons Resorts Lanai. In his new role, Haley will oversee the reservations department of Manele Bay and The Lodge at Koele to strategically lead the team in revenue-generating practices. Haley, originally from Arizona, joins Four Seasons from The Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island of Hawaii, where he served as director of revenue management for the 538-room resort. Prior, Haley was director of revenue management with Westward Look Resort in Tucson, Arizona and Lake Arrowhead Resort, in Lake Arrowhead, California.

Marcus Stewart has been appointed as Sous Chef at Four Seasons Resorts Lanai

Marcus Stewart has been named Executive Sous Chef of Four Seasons Resorts Lanai. In his new role, Chef Stewart will assist Executive Chef Kevin Erving in overseeing all culinary operations and menu development for the seven restaurants and bars at Manele Bay and The Lodge at Koele. Chef Stewart joined Four Seasons Resorts Lanai from Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta in 2010. While in Atlanta, he served as Chef de Cuisine at Park 75 and played an integral role in the success of rebranding the restaurant. Prior to Atlanta, he served as Sous Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Houston. Chef Stewart’s other culinary experience includes positions at renowned chef Frank McMahon’s restaurant Hank’s Seafood in Charleston, South Carolina and Bogenhauser Hof in Munich, Germany.
