Dorsett Hospitality International has appointed Hilary Cross as the General Manager for the soon-to-open Dorsett Shepherds Bush, London.With more than 24 years of experience in hotel management in the United Kingdom, Hilary was most recently the General Manager for K West Hotel & Spa, London and had worked at St Martins Lane Hotel and Kensington Close Hotel in London prior.

Stuart Leven has been appointed as Managing Director UK & Ireland at Royal Caribbean International

Stuart Leven will work alongside Jo Rzymowska who will lead the UK and Ireland Celebrity Cruises business. Both roles are new, and follow the announcement that the UK and Ireland office is creating three dedicated businesses for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises in response to the significant market growth achieved.

Michael Bonsor has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Rosewood London

Michael Bonsor has been names hotel manager at Rosewood London, which opens next month following an £85m renovation. Bonsor joins the property with more than 15 years’ experience in luxury hotel management having begun his career at the Four Seasons in several locations in the USA, during which time he was director of restaurants for the launch of Michelin-starred restaurant L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon at the Four Seasons in New York.

Liza Humphrey has been appointed as Campus Director at Glion London

As the new Campus Director, Humphrey will have responsibility for the successful establishment and launch of GIHE London and its ongoing operation. Humphrey and Davey will provide joint leadership and direction to ensure the achievement of GIHE London’s philosophy, mission, strategy and annual goals and objectives. Humphrey has twelve years’ experience in the education sector, with a strong background in student recruitment, marketing and admissions. In her previous role as Global Enrolment Management Director at Laureate Hospitality Education, Humphrey was responsible for leading a 30-strong enrolment team in the implementation of the school’s global enrolment strategy. Prior to that, Humphrey was based at Les Roches Marbella, Spain – a sister school to Glion that specialises in hotel management – where she spent five years as Director of Enrolment & Marketing.

Bernadette Gilligan has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton London Wembley

Prior to joining Hilton London Wembley, Gilligan was general manager at Hilton London Kensington and has more than 20 years’ of experience working within Hilton Worldwide. She has spent the past 10 years working as general manager across a number of UK Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties including Hilton Manchester Deansgate and Hilton York. Gilligan started her career at Holiday Inn before joining Hilton in 1990. Jack Nicholas, previous general manager at Hilton London Wembley, has retired after 40 years service in the hospitality industry, with the last 11 years spent at Hilton Worldwide. Nicholas played an integral role in the creation of Hilton London Wembley and championed the development of a new upscale, full service hotel for 10 years prior to the hotel opening just prior to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
