Embassy Suites by Hilton New York - Midtown Manhattan Celebrates Grand Opening

The Buccini/Pollin Group, Hidrock Properties and Hilton Hotels & Resorts today announced the opening of the 310-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton New York - Midtown Manhattan in New York. BPGS Construction oversaw entitlement and construction of the project, and PM Hotel Group performed technical services during programming, design and construction and manages the newly opened hotel. CAMPION PLATT Interiors was selected to design the hotel"s public areas, while HVS Design was responsible for the guest suite and corridor designs, and PPA provided the architectural plans.

Lindsey Sears has been appointed as Director of Sales at Gild Hall, a Thompson Hotel

Thompson Hotels’ Gild Hall, a neighborhood gem in the heart of downtown Manhattan, has appointed Lindsey Sears as director of sales. Sears, a veteran to the hospitality industry of over nine years, was most recently associate director of sales at Hotel 50 Bowery, also included within Two Roads Hospitality’s portfolio, where she led sales efforts for the first New York City outpost of Joie de Vivre.

Kristine Chiu has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at INNSIDE New York NoMad

Meliá Hotels International, Spain’s leading hotel chain, is pleased to announce Kristine Chiu, an established and results-driven hotel professional with over 15 years of experience, as the new Director of Sales and Marketing of its flagship New York property, INNSIDE New York. With her in-depth experience and knowledge of the New York City Market, prior to starting at INNSIDE New York, Chiu was recently the Director of Sales at the Sheraton Tribeca. Prior to this, she was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Triumph Hotels, including Hotel Belleclaire and Hotel Edison. Previous positions include Global Membership Manager of the New York Region at Club Quarters Hotels, Director of Sales & Marketing at Warwick New York Hotel, Director of Sales at The Iroquois New York (Triumph Hotels), and Director of Sales & Revenue at The Lucerne Hotel, where she began her hospitality career. In her new role at INNSIDE New York, Chiu will work closely with the hotel’s General Manager, Alex Spektor, and will continue to increase the property’s visibility within various marketing channels and driving the hotel’s sales goals. Denise Fernandez has been appointed as Director of Leisure Sales at Trump SoHo® New York

Fernandez brings over a decade of hospitality experience to her role as Director of Leisure Sales, most recently as Senior Sales Manager for Pineapple Luxury Hotel Specialists, a company that provides marketing and sales representation to a portfolio of upscale hotels around the globe. Other past positions include Regional Sales Manager for COMO Hotels and Resorts and Sales Manager for Peninsula New York. In this new role, Fernandez will be responsible for the leisure sales and consortia accounts based in the Americas for both Trump SoHo and Trump International Hotel & Tower New York.

Nathan Goodman has been appointed as Area Director of Sales and Marketing at Time Hotels

Goodman takes on this new role with Time Hotels after serving as the Associate Director of Sales at The Time New York in 2015. He was promoted shortly thereafter to Director of Sales and Marketing, and since joining the team, has helped sign more than one hundred corporate contracts and increase sales growth by fifty percent year over year. Prior to joining The Time, Goodman formerly served as Sales Manager with The Carlton, now known as The James Nomad. He also held rank as Corporate Sales Director at Interstate Hotels (The Roosevelt), and Area Director of Corporate Sales for Westhouse and Park Central. He has extensive experience with both corporate travel management as well as with travel agencies.
