TWA Terminal Could Be New York's Next "Boutique" Hotel | gothamist.com

Well this could be interesting? Seems that the Port Authority has finally come up with something to do with the much beloved Eero Saarinen-designed TWA terminal 5 at JFK. And that something is...a boutique hotel. When JetBlue took over Terminal 5 they built their new terminal around the Saarinen original in the hopes of one day using it as a grand entrance. But that plan fell through (the old girl just can't handle modern amenities like curbside check-in and all those pat-downs), leaving the modernist icon empty.

Deborah Lunn has been appointed as General Manager at New Sanctuary Hotel

Bringing over 25 years of hospitality experience to her new role, Lunn will oversee the final stages of the transformation and launch of the four-star Sanctuary Hotel, debuting in spring 2011 (currently operating as the Portland Square Hotel). Formerly known among colleagues as Deborah McCluskey, Lunn is a leader in the hospitality industry previously holding the positions of general manger for Kimpton’s Ink48 Hotel and the Empire Hotel, both during the opening of each property. Lunn also served as the general manager and director of operations for the W New York – the Court & Tuscany. Throughout her tenure, she held various positions within Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels & Resorts and Park Lane Hotels International. Often recognized for her hard work and dedication, she received accolades such as the “Survivor Award” at Kimpton’s annual general manager’s conference in January 2010 and the StarVoice Best in Class award from Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2005.

Atif N.Yousseff has been appointed as General Manager at Millennium Broadway Hotel

Before his career with Millennium Hotels, Mr. Youssef served as the General Manager at the Empire Hotel and the Hotel Manager at the Hudson Hotel in New York City. He has also worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in Director of Operations, Hotel Manager, and General Manager Positions, at The Plaza Hotel in New York City where he served as Executive Director of Food & Beverage, as well as the Helmsley Park Lane Hotel and the Waldorf-Astoria. Mr. Youssef has accrued numerous awards and accolades throughout his years in the business, including recognitions from the Chaine Des Rotisseurs to the United States Secret Service. Mr. Youssef graduated from Cairo University in Egypt with a BA in Accounting.
