Sandra Lamey has been appointed as Spa Director at Trump SoHo® New York

Trump SoHo® New York, the neighborhood’s only AAA Five Diamond rated hotel and home to the first authentic luxury hammam in New York City, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandra Lamey as spa director of The Spa at Trump SoHo. Having managed some of the country’s most luxurious spa facilities, Lamey brings a wealth of industry experience that she will use to oversee the 11,000 square foot spa, including all day-to-day operations, develop marketing strategy, create new programming and managing all staff. Lamey brings to the Spa at Trump SoHo 15 years of experience including her most recent position as director of spa at Omni Bedford Springs in Bedford, PA, where she oversaw management and spa operations of the 30,000 square foot facility with 15 treatment rooms, a salon and 55 employees. Additionally, Lamey was the spa operations and acting director at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas, TX, and the lead massage therapist and supervisor at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas.

Steve Kunz has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Omni Berkshire Place

The Omni Berkshire Place, located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, announced the appointment of Steven Kunz as director of food and beverage. He is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest dining experience and overseeing all financial and managerial aspects of the hotel’s culinary operations, including Fireside Restaurant and Bar, catering and in-room dining.

Glenn Haussman has been named Editor-at-Large at Hotel Management (Magazine)

Officials of Questex Hospitality Group, a division of Questex, LLC, the world’s largest multi-media organization dedicated to travel and lodging, today announced that Glenn Haussman has been named editor-at-large of Hotel Management, the leading provider of hospitality industry news, analysis, trends, finance, business, design and people for hotel-motel management. Haussman will be responsible for providing editorial content and direction for the magazine, as well as serving as a co-host and moderator of the group’s ongoing HOTEC conferences for hoteliers. Prior to joining Hotel Management, Haussman was editor-in-chief at Hotel Interactive. He has covered all aspects of hospitality, including hotels and resorts, restaurants, casinos and cruise ships. He is sought out by other journalists for his expertise and has been quoted in such leading publications as The New York Times, USA Today, Washington Post, MSNBC.com, CNN.com, Chicago Tribune and many more. Haussman also has served as adjunct professor at New York University, teaching classes in Consumer Behavior at the Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management. Haussman will continue his wide-ranging interests in the industry, including the launch of an all-new podcast, as well as consulting, public speaking and industry education for companies.

Kevin Chang has been appointed as General Manager at Holiday Inn New York JFK Airport

M&R Hotel Management, operator of 13 New York hotels, today announced the appointment of Kevin Chang as general manager of the 201-room, full-service Holiday Inn New York JFK Airport Area, just east of John F. Kennedy International Airport in Jamaica. Kevin Chang SM 10-2014.jpgChang, a 24-year hospitality industry veteran, joined M&R as general manager of the 128-room Holiday Inn Express New York JFK Airport Area in October 2014. In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of the Holiday Inn’s management, including operations, sales, marketing, security, maintenance, housekeeping and accounting. He also will serve as liaison with the operator of the hotel’s three-meal-a-day restaurant, The Brookville Restaurant & Bar. Prior to joining M&R, Chang was general manager of The Parc Hotel in Flushing, New York, front office director of the Petit Ermitage Hotel in West Hollywood, California, operations manager of the Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach, California, assistant general manager of the La Quinta Hotel at LAX Airport in Los Angeles and general manager of the Hotel 41 at Times Square in New York.
