Opening of La Fondation, a new creative living space and residence for Esprits Libres

In the very heart of the 17th arrondissement, between Parc Monceau and Les Batignolles village, Galia Group is about to open La Fondation, an exceptional landmark of over 10,000 m2. The multi-faceted building will accommodate a 5-star hotel, two restaurants, a rooftop, an auditorium with office spaces, a floating garden, a sports club, along with a climbing wall and a semi-Olympic swimming pool. Designers Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch - heads of the renowned New York studio Roman & Williams - designed the warm, enveloping atmosphere of this new Parisian address, which celebrates creation in all its forms. They have used their unique universe, working hand-in-hand with craftsmen, to shape an elegant, timeless setting, dotted with bespoke curated art programm. The edifice itself was designed by Philippe Chiambaretta Architecte. With its exceptional volumes, large panoramic windows and exposed concrete structure with Brutalist accents, the building brings a refreshing twist to rue Legendre. All this was accomplished thanks to a major effort to rehabilitate the building's heritage: the preexisting structure and foundations were sublimated, underlining the project's creative and perennial approach.
