Julie Parker has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at The Benson Hotel

A native of Vancouver, Wash., Julie Parker brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience to The Benson Hotel, most recently as sales and marketing director at Boxed Bistro & Catering in Portland. In the same position at the Benson she will oversee the team in daily department operations, as well as drive revenue through new business development and grow existing accounts. Parker's past experience includes positions at Jubitz Travel Center, Destination  Hotels & Resorts and Semiahmoo Resort among others. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Trailblazer games with her family and taking road trips to Oregon wine country.

Renovation Halfway Completed for Hotel Sheraton Portland Airport

Officials of the 212-room Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel in Portland, Ore., announced today that the hotel has completed the first phase of a two-part, $7 million renovation. Phase One included a complete, top-to-bottom renovation of all guest rooms and suites, while Phase Two will completely transform the hotel"s lobby, signature restaurant, extensive function space and popular amenities. The entire refurbishment process is expected to be complete by September 2017.

Deborah Pillatsch has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Westin Portland Harborview

Jeffery Burrell, general manager of the Westin Portland Harborview, a Rockbridge portfolio hotel, today announced that Deborah Pillatsch has joined the hotel team as director of sales and marketing. Pillatsch previously held the same position at the DoubleTree by Hilton in South Portland. Prior to coming to Portland, Pillatsch was a senior sales manager at the Providence Biltmore and the MGM Grand-Foxwoods. She is a member of Meeting Planners International, the National Tour Association, Maine Innkeepers, Maine Travel and Tourism and the Regional Portland Chamber of Commerce, among other professional organizations.

Brian Anderson has been appointed as Director Food and Beverage/Executive Chef at Westin Portland Harborview

Jeffery Burrell, general manager of the Westin Portland Harborview, a Rockbridge portfolio hotel, today announced the promotion of Brian Anderson to director food and beverage. Anderson previously was the executive chef and will continue in that capacity while assuming additional administrative and front-of-house responsibilities. Prior to joining the Westin Portland Harborview, Anderson was the executive chef at the luxury, four-star W Hotel in Boston, Anderson also served as the chef de cuisine of the Westin Boston Waterfront. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales prestigious College of Culinary Arts. Located in the heart of Portland's arts district at 157 High Street, the 289-room and suite Westin Portland Harborview is the result of an 18-month, $50 million renovation that transformed a beloved, 1920s era grand dame into the city's most elegant hotel.

Gerard Kiladjian has been appointed as General Manager Maine properties at Hart Hotels

Hart Hotels has named Gerard Kiladjian as General Manager for its Maine properties: The Inn at Diamond Cove, Diamond's Edge Restaurant and Marina, the Portland Harbor Hotel and its restaurant, Eve's at the Garden. This marks Kiladjian’s return to the Portland Harbor Hotel, where he was General Manager of the property from 2004 to 2014.
