Lisa Luna has been appointed as Director of Marketing at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa

With more than a decade of experience in Public Relations and Marketing, Luna brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Omni Rancho Las Palmas team. Luna began with the Omni Rancho Las Palmas team back in 2015, where she started as a Marketing Manager and rose to a Senior Marketing Manager at the resort. After just over four years, Lisa shifted to a position of Director of Marketing at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas, where she was responsible for developing and executing the resort's overall marketing strategy for just shy of five years. Lisa has since relocated back to Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, where she will manage the marketing team, create campaigns and oversee branding and hotel revenue from various marketing channels.

Jacob Heck has been appointed as Director of Agronomy at Sensei Porcupine Creek

Jacob Heck recently joined the company as Director of Agronomy from his previous role at the nearby Palm Valley Country Club in Palm Desert, overseeing 200 acres and 36 holes of golf. He has held senior leadership roles in agronomy with Troon Golf and at multiple prestigious locations across the Coachella Valley, including Gary Player & Pete Dye golf courses at the Westin Mission Hills, Rancho Mirage, and as the Director of Agronomy at Indian Wells Golf Resort. Heck began his career in agronomy and horticulture at the young age of 14, volunteering with his father at the local country club and later working on farms in his home state of Iowa. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture with an emphasis on agronomy and turfgrass management from Iowa State University.

Joshua Nudd has been appointed as Executive Chef at Sensei Porcupine Creek

With extensive senior leadership experience in the culinary space, Joshua Nudd joins Sensei Porcupine Creek as Executive Chef after tenures as Director of Food and Beverage at the five-star Little Nell in Aspen, CA and MacArthur Place in Sonoma, CA. For 12 years, Chef Nudd lived and worked between Hong Kong, mainland China and The Bahamas, serving as Executive Chef at Abaco Club, an exclusive private club in the Bahamas; Temple House in Chengdu, China; and the Niccolo by Marco Polo, an urban chic luxury brand also in Chengdu. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Nudd is described by his peers as an individual with integrity and a passion for the industry, spending the last 15 years focused on creating a great culture and atmosphere in the kitchen.

John Gustafson has been appointed as Director of Sales & Events at Sensei Porcupine Creek

John Gustafson joins Sensei Porcupine Creek as Director of Sales and Events, following 14 years at the Fairmont Chicago. An accomplished sales partner in luxury wellness, Gustafson brings his passion and background in curating experiences for groups with a skilled expertise in events. Gustafson started his career with Fairmont in 2003 and was promoted to various positions such as Director of Corporate Catering, Senior National Sales Manager, Director of Group Sales, and lastly as Director of Sales. In his early career, he explored a variety of different roles across the hospitality sector that included stints at the front desk, to concierge, reservations, call center and food and beverage, providing him with a strong foundation and understanding of the importance of collaboration across departments.

Vince Smit has been appointed as Director of Wellness at Sensei Porcupine Creek

Vince Smit joins Sensei Porcupine Creek as Director of Wellness, where he will oversee wellbeing and spa programming for the property. He comes to Sensei from his previous role as Director of Spa for The Miami Beach EDITION. Possessing extensive experience in the wellness space and serving on the Marriott Corporate Spa & Retail Advisory Council since 2017, Smit was responsible for driving sales, enhancing guest experiences and he consulted on spa and wellness space development for the Edition brand globally. Before the EDITION, Smit worked at The Standard Spa in Miami and was the Health Club & Pool Department Head at Starwood Hotels & Resorts. In his spare time, he co-founded iRetreat, directing international wellness retreats and building the brand through successful marketing and service initiatives.

Takahiro Masuno has been appointed as Head Sushi Chef at Sensei Porcupine Creek

Serving as Head Sushi Chef, Masuno will run the exclusive Nobu Sushi Bar available as part of Sensei by Nobu. Masuno has over 20 years of experience focused on Japanese cuisine, originally hailing from Japan and completing his training in the United States. He was previously with the Ojiya Corporation in both California and Hawaii, having served as General Manager and Executive Chef at the brand's numerous restaurant locations.

Seeun "Wezy" We has been appointed as Executive Chef at Sensei Porcupine Creek

We is Sensei Porcupine Creek's Executive Chef. A graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, We worked with some of New York's greatest chefs including Jean Georges, Masaharu Morimoto and David Chang. About 13 years ago, We began her journey with Nobu at his Tribeca location, followed by roles around the world with the brand including Lana'i, Malibu, Malaysia, Palo Alto and most recently Spain.

Cameron Petrelli has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at Sensei Porcupine Creek

Petrelli joined as the Director of Food & Beverage, spearheading all operations including Sensei by Nobu, an exclusive collaboration between Sensei co-founder Dr. David Agus and Nobu Matsuhisa that is rooted in Sensei's philosophies on nutrition. Prior to Sensei, he was the Director of Food & Beverage at Davidson Hospitality Group. Petrelli also has a long history working in the F&B space with Fairmont in Dubai, Hawaii, San Diego and more, as well as The Ritz-Carlton in Dallas. He attended culinary school at the Culinary Institute of America.

Andrea Wieland has been appointed as Director of Wellness at Sensei Porcupine Creek

As Director of Wellness, Wieland works closely with Sensei's Wellness Science team to curate and deliver wellness programming and experiences. Wieland is a licensed psychologist with a PhD and MBA and was formerly the President of Winning Systems, which provides individual, team and leadership performance and health coaching. She also has an extensive background in sports performance, serving as Associate Athletic Director and Director of Sports Performance at the University of Pennsylvania. Andrea is a proud member of the 1996 US Olympic Field Hockey team.

Tiffany Li has been appointed as Director of Operations at Sensei Porcupine Creek

Li has been appointed as Director of Operations at Sensei Porcupine Creek and is instrumental in crafting the overall on-property experience. Li has extensive leadership experience in luxury resorts, having served most recently as Director of Rooms at 1 Hotels. Prior to that, she worked with Montage International at the Beverly Hills location for more than six years in progressive leadership positions.

Julie Oliff has been appointed as General Manager at Sensei Porcupine Creek

Oliff joins the property as General Manager of Sensei Porcupine Creek. Oliff has a long history in luxury hospitality, having been with the St. Regis brand for 10 years, serving as General Manager of the St. Regis Residences in Rye, New York, as well as Director of Operations and Spa Director in Aspen, Colorado. Prior to her tenure with St. Regis, she gained tremendous experience in the luxury wellness space, serving as Spa Director and Director of Recreation for The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands and St. Thomas. She also proudly served as a member of the board of directors for ISPA for two terms.

The Westin Mission Hills Rebrands to The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa

On the heels of a multi-million-dollar renovation, The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa has officially changed their name to The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa. When the resort was originally built in 1987, the tourism powerhouse of the Coachella Valley was Palm Springs, hence why the hotel was not originally named for its location in Rancho Mirage. Since the resorts inception Rancho Mirage has blossomed as a tourism destination in its own right. As the hotel prepares to complete their $15 million dollar property-wide renovation they felt now was the time for a name change that reflects the destination the resort calls home, Rancho Mirage.
