Rome to feature a 99-key art’otel

Looking ahead to spring 2024, the historic city of Rome marks art'otel's inaugural location in Italy. Moments away from the iconic Spanish steps, the property is an extensive redevelopment of a former hotel which closed in 2022. Featuring 99 guest rooms, the hotel will also include a destination restaurant and bar with outdoor terrace and an art gallery.

Hospitality veteran Elodie Lacroix has been named General Manager of Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese in Rome, Italy. As part of her new role, she is responsible for managing all aspects of the hotel's operations, including the property's 78 luxury rooms and suites and unique offerings. With over 17 years in the hospitality industry, Mrs. Lacroix brings a dynamic perspective to the Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese team. As the hotel's strategic leader, she will work towards exceeding guest expectations through immersive experiences, world-class service, and exclusive amenities. She will begin as general manager at the hotel on May 2.

Alessandro Belli has been appointed as Head of Italy Hospitality Team at Cushman & Wakefield

Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm, has appointed Alessandro Belli as Head of Hospitality for Italy. Belli, who joins as a Partner, brings extensive experience in the hospitality industry in Italy, combined with a background in the real estate financial sector. He was previously Head of Hotel Investments at CDP Investimenti SGR, for whom he managed investments for a portfolio of hotels with over 2,000 rooms.

The IntercityHotel Rome Tiburtina marks Deutsche Hospitality’s debut in Italy

Benvenuti in the Eternal City. The new build IntercityHotel Rome Tiburtina will become Deutsche Hospitality's first hotel in the Italian capital once it opens for business in 2024. Located directly adjacent to Tiburtina mainline railway station and within the immediate vicinity of Rome's old quarter, this market launch by Deutsche Hospitality will offer around 311 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and six conference rooms. The project is being realised in conjunction with Progretto Tiburtina S.R.L., a subsidiary of MTK Group AG, with which Deutsche Hospitality has already successfully collaborated on the recently opened Jaz in the City Vienna.

TSH Group Closes Deal For 5th Hotel In Italy

By the end of 2023, The Student Hotel (TSH) is expected to add TSH San Lorenzo to its growing network of hybrid properties in Italy. With the acquisition of the historical Ex Dogana site in the area of San Lorenzo, Rome, TSH Group's investment in the Italian market now totals over €450mn. The new hotel will be located in one of the most authentic districts of Rome and is the perfect fit for TSH's spirit of life-long learning and experimentation: the neighbourhood hosts one of the largest universities and student communities in Europe, and is home to a diversity of artists and artisans.

Launching late 2021: The Rome EDITION

Expected to open late in 2021, EDITION Hotels' first Italian property will feature 95 guest rooms and suites, including a Penthouse suite with a private 130 sqm (1,399 sqft) terrace.
