Nickie Andrews previously served as Director of Catering at InterContinental New York Barclay in New York. Prior to that, she was Senior Catering Sales Manager at Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York, where she orchestrated events with A-list celebrity entertainment and political figures. Andrews is responsible for overseeing the flawless execution of events and catering hosted by Embassy Suites Seattle Downtown-Pioneer Square for the 15,000 square foot King Street Ballroom & Perch.

Prior to Interstate, Sasso was with Denihan Hospitality Group. As General Manager at New York's The Benjamin Hotel, he was named HSMAI "GM of the Year" for New York City. During his time with Denihan, he also served as General Manager of Eastgate Tower, Affinia Gardens and Affinia Dumont, all located in New York.

Julie Conway has been appointed as Motif Visiting Artist at Motif Seattle

Motif Seattle has named master glass artist Julie Conway as its new Motif Visiting Artist for the 2017-18 year. Each year since the hotel’s inception, Motif Seattle has worked with a Seattle-based artist to create a design “motif” that is creatively integrated into various touchpoints throughout the hotel including in-room stationary, business cards, room keys, uniform accessories worn by team members, and highlighted on the hotel’s website and social media. In addition to having her design integrated throughout the hotel, Conway will provide private glassblowing demonstration events for Motif Seattle’s clients throughout the year.

Rhocelli Pascual has been appointed as Director of Marketing at Motif Seattle, A Destination Hotel

Motif Seattle, A Destination Hotel, has named Rhocelli Pascual as its new Director of Marketing. In this role, Pascual will be responsible for shaping and executing an overall marketing strategy for the hotel, ensuring alignment of marketing and sales strategies, and developing new programming. She will also oversee the hotel’s overall branding, advertising and public relations efforts. Pascual’s hotel marketing career spans more than six years. Most recently, she served as Associate Director of Marketing for The Garland Hotel in North Hollywood, California, where she oversaw all marketing communication channels during a $20 million renovation. In addition to relaunching the hotel and its restaurant, The Front Yard, she led the production of all marketing communication and digital marketing campaigns, and managed the hotel’s PR efforts. Prior to The Garland, she served in marketing, social media, SEO and reputation management roles with JC Resorts, a collection of four hospitality properties based in San Diego. Throughout her career, Pascual has received numerous awards, including: 2016 Marcus Hotels & Resorts Marketing Leader of the Year; 2016 IAC Best Restaurant Website; 2015 HSMAI Adrian Silver Level Award for Website Design; and 2015 Platinum Summit Marketing Effective Award for Website. Pascual gained her bachelor of science degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from The Art Institute of California – San Diego. A Washington native, Pascual is engaged and lives in South Seattle with her corgi.
