Adam Dyke has been appointed general manager of the Grand, York, succeeding Simon Mahon, who stepped down in September after five years. Dyke joins the 207-room luxury hotel from his previous role as group operations director at Luxury Family Hotels. With over 20 years of experience in hospitality, he has held leadership roles at notable properties including Artfarm, Chewton Glen, the Devonshire Arms on the Bolton Abbey Estate, Wynyard Hall Hotel, and Yorebridge House.

Bolson previously worked as an operations director for Splendid Hospitality Group, overseeing the management of hotels across the group’s portfolio.

The luxury four-star Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa Hotel, near York, has appointed Stewart Woodeson as its new general manager. Woodeson brings more than 20 years' experience to the role, having worked as a general manager for some of the UK's most well-known hotel brands. He also has a wealth of experience in catering and golf, including a role as food and beverage resort manager at Wales' 2010 Ryder Cup venue, the Celtic Manor Resort.

Christine Jones has been named Brand Director at Best Western Great Britain

Christine Jones joins from Macdonald Hotels and Resorts as Brand Director. Previous roles include Group Sales and Marketing Manager for Costley Hotels and Director of Sales for Intercontinental Hotels, where she was the youngest ever Sales Director of the 330 Midland Hotel Manchester. As Head of Brand Jones is tasked with growing the portfolio of independently-owned hotels, with a particular focus on the brand’s recently-created PLUS and PREMIER offering.
