Deutsche Hospitality Opens a Lifestyle Brand Hotel in Vienna

Fresh city beats. Vienna is once again showing itself to be a true capital of music and lifestyle. As of today, the new lifestyle hotel Jaz in the City Vienna in Windmühlgasse, located between Mariahilferstraße and the Naschmarkt, welcomes guests and sound enthusiasts. Music is an essential component of the concept. It can be heard, seen, and experienced across every area of the hotel. The reception area acts as a record store, whilst all 163 stylish rooms and suites also include a record player. Multi-functional event facilities provide an inviting venue for creative meetings and for after-work clubbing. The "Rhythms Bar & Kitchen" Restaurant delivers exactly what its title suggests. The focus here is on dishes using local produce which are spiced up with a "jazy" spirit and come with an added mixture of diversity, tolerance and innovation. The hotel itself becomes a stage, and guests are able to enjoy live music, concerts and spontaneous sessions every single day. The "mariatrink Drinks & Views" rooftop bar boasts spectacular vistas out over Vienna and is already a top attraction amongst those in the know. Special intimate performances from leading artists are being planned in future.

The Hoxton, Vienna Grand Opening In Spring 2023

The Hoxton, Vienna will be located in Stadtpark in a striking 1950s modernist building which has an interesting history as the former headquarters of Austria's Chamber of Commerce. This history will be reflected in the design, with Ennismore Design Studio working to restore and reclaim original features of the building, incorporating inspiration from its history and local streets into their design process. The hotel will have 196 bedrooms, a spacious lobby and coffee bar; a restaurant and terrace; rooftop bar and pool; a basement speakeasy; and The Apartment meeting and events space. It will also be home to events auditorium, which is an exciting first for The Hoxton and will be a new home for live entertainment in Vienna.

Austria’s Second Intercityhotel Opens In Graz

A new opening in the City of Design: Graz followed in the footsteps of Vienna to become the second location in Austria with an IntercityHotel when the IntercityHotel Graz opened its doors on 13 November 2020. As usual, the hotel occupies a central site right next to the main railway station. This new four-star IntercityHotel offers 229 rooms spread over five floors and is currently the largest hotel in the city.

New IntercityHotel Graz will combine 229 hotel rooms with 187 student apartments

An official topping-out ceremony held today, Thursday, has triggered the next construction phase for the new Graz IntercityHotel, which will offer 229 rooms and 187 student apartments in a separate "SMARTments student" accommodation block. Development of the two buildings is taking place on a site which has been unused for decades. The GBI Group is responsible for project development in both cases. "This new build project will do a great deal to enhance the attractiveness of our city and the southern railway access point," said Graz's mayor Mag. (M.A.) Siegfried Nagl. Mr. Nagl was speaking on the occasion of the topping-out ceremony, and he also went on to emphasise the importance of developing this particular location. "One of the key outcomes to emerge from a working meeting with Graz's hotel owners in May this year was a desire to strengthen the city's brand identity as a tourism and conference destination. This venture is a vital piece of the jigsaw. It will also create extensive accommodation facilities for visitors in an outstanding location. Students who come to Graz because of our reputation as a city of research and development will also be able to find a temporary home." The SMARTments student block will be completed in the spring of 2020, and the IntercityHotel itself is scheduled to open in the autumn of the same year. Both the buildings and a joint underground car park providing 75 spaces are being finished by the construction company Granit, which is also acting as general contractor.

Jo&Joe Moves In With Ikea At Vienna West Station

Preparations for the development of the new City IKEA at Westbahnhof station are progressing rapidly. Construction work on the seven-storey building will commence in January 2020, and is scheduled for completion in 2021. The new hospitality offering is a perfect match for the innovative IKEA concept: the two upper floors of the building will contain an Open House by JO&JOE. Offering 345 beds, the JO&JOE location in Vienna will feature a fully integrated restaurant and bar on the rooftop as well as distinct JO&JOE event programming.

Steigenberger's MAXX Brand opens in Vienna, Austria

MAXX by Steigenberger launches on the Austrian market on 1 February 2019. The first MAXX by Steigenberger in the country is located on Margaretengürtel in Vienna's fifth district within easy walking distance of the shopping facilities of Mariahilferstraße. Vienna will thus become the first city in which Deutsche Hospitality has a four-brand presence. The Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof and the IntercityHotel Wien already boast prime positions and are set to be joined by Jaz in the City Vienna in the early summer of 2020.
