Diego Stembert has been appointed as General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

A native of San Sebastian, Spain, Stembert has always been inspired by excellence and innovation. After earning his Diploma in International Hotel Management from Le Roches Global Hospitality Education in Marbella, Spain, Stembert gained valuable experience throughout his home country, at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort in Marbella; The Westin Palace in Madrid; and Hotel Alfonso XIII, A Luxury Collection Hotel in Seville. From there, island life called and he headed to Mauritius, where he held the positions of director of rooms and director of operations at The Grand Mauritian, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa.

Stefano Attardi has been appointed as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

A native of Naples, Italy, Attardi began his career at the foot of the Alps at Schweizerhof Zermatt, in Switzerland. As he developed his culinary skills, he served in various locations between Switzerland, Palm Springs and Miami, before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, where he spent seven years. He then ventured off to Spain, where he served as executive sous chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Barcelona, before being named culinary director of The Ritz-Carlton, Bali. From there, he joined the opening team of Bulgari Hotel Beijing, where served as culinary director.

Sebastien Pisano has been appointed as General Manager at Conrad Bora Bora Nui

Prior to joining Conrad Bora Bora Nui, Pisano served as Director of Operations at Conrad Bangkok, Director of Planning & Development at Conrad Bangkok and Director of Human Resources at Hilton Maldives Iru Fushi Resort & Spa. His previous experience also includes roles at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Hilton London Euston, Lucien Barrière Hotels & Resorts, Casino Cannes Croisette and the Hotel Majestic Barrière Cannes. Pisano holds a degree in Business and Administration Management from the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis in Nice, France.

Ron Sandvig has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Conrad Bora Bora Nui

Conrad Bora Bora Nui, the first luxury resort to open in Bora Bora in nearly 10 years, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Sandvig as the director of sales and marketing. With over 30 years of luxury travel and resort lifestyle experience, Sandvig is now bringing his expertise to the recently-renovated and rebranded resort in French Polynesia, where he will be leading sales and marketing for the United States and Canada. Most recently, Sandvig served as director of travel sales at Island Hotel in Newport Beach, Calif. Prior to that he spent ten years as vice president of travel industry sales for Terrenea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. While at Terrenea Resort, Sandvig oversaw the pre-opening and resort launch, exceeding group booking goals and establishing invaluable relationships and partnerships for the resort. Before joining Terrenea Resort, Sandvig served as regional director of sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, representing 76 hotels and resorts in 27 countries, specifically working with The Luxury Collection and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. He started his career overseeing sales and marketing efforts at various hotels in California including The Westin in Long Beach, Calif. Sandvig holds a Bachelor of Business Administration at University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Stephane Massarini has been appointed as General Manager at Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa

Guillaume Epinette, who has spent 13 years with IHG including the last five years as general manager of InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa, is moving to Asia for an IHG project opening in 2016. Stephane Massarini, formerly of the InterContinental properties in Ishigaki and Okinawa, Japan, has been appointed the new general manager of the resort.

Jean Heliere has been promoted to General Manager at InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa

InterContinental Resorts of French Polynesia’s regional vice president of operations, Philippe Brovelli, is pleased to announce top management appointments at the InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa. Jean Heliere, deputy general manager of the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa for the past three years, has been promoted to general manager of the InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa.

Jean Marc Mocellin, general manager and 23-year veteran at the helm of the “Parkroyal, Beachcomber InterContinental,” is relocating mid-June to an InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) resort in Thailand. Thierry Brovelli, general manager of the InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa for the last 11 of 19 years with IHG, will succeed Mocellin as InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa’s general manager. Charles de Resseguier, most recently from Accor in Vietnam and Belmond in the Caribbean, has been named deputy general manager.

Frederic Angevin has been named Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Angevin, a 25-year industry veteran, has worked in hotels and restaurants around the world, and makes the move to French Polynesia from Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas, where he most recently served as Executive Sous Chef. Prior to that, he served as executive chef and consultant of Legends Soccer Bar & Grill in Frisco, Texas; executive sous chef of Hilton Doubletree at Lincoln Center in Dallas; executive chef and owner of Escargot Restaurant in Fort Worth and as executive chef of Le Chardonnay in Dallas. His early years were spent as executive chef of Moulin d’Hauterive Hotel in Beaune, France and as chef de cuisine of Le Tipi and Le Champs-Elyses Hotel in Macon, France.

Michel Volk has been appointed as General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Michel Volk has been named General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. Volk, a 20-year industry veteran, has worked in management positions around the world, including the past 17 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. He makes the move to French Polynesia from Four Seasons Hotel Boston, where he most recently served as Hotel Manager. He has worked globally with Four Seasons, including Four Seasons Resort Vail, Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle in Thailand, the former Four Seasons Resort Provence at Terre Blanche, Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris, the former Four Seasons Hotel Berlin, and Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. His career with Four Seasons began at Four Seasons Hotel London as a front desk receptionist.
