Art-Invest acquires dual-branded Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget in Bayreuth, Germany

German real estate fund Art-Invest Real Estate is acquiring the dual-branded Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget hotel in Bayreuth, Germany from local developer Fuchs & Söhne. The property is currently under construction and is planned to open in 2020. Both hotels will be operated by GHotel Germany GmbH under a long-term lease agreement and subject to a franchise agreement with AccorHotels. The property will have a combined 180 rooms, with 96 operated under the Ibis Styles brand and 84 under the Ibis Budget brand.

Sascha Wolff has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Design Hotels

Third member of the Executive Board is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Sascha Wolff. Sascha joined the predecessor company of Design Hotels™, lebendsart global networks AG in February 2000 - right after the company's IPO in December 1999 - as Head of Accounting and later also took over Financial Controlling. With his profound knowledge and understanding of the company's finances and internal processes, Sascha was promoted to Director of Finance in 2004 and joined the Executive Board. In 2009, he was promoted to Vice President Finance and managed to lead the company through uncertain times after the 2008/2009 worldwide financial crisis. Since then, Design Hotels™ operates on a solid financial footing, which is manifested in its year-over-year growth. Consequently, he became Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in 2014. Over the years, Sascha made significant contributions to the evolution of the company and was ultimately given responsibility for the entire Finance & Administration unit in 2014 as Chief Financial Officer. He leads the company's administrative, financial and legal affairs and handles all Investor Relation matters.

New Intercity flagship hotel in Frankfurt is ready to open

The waiting has come to an end. The new flagship of the IntercityHotel brand is about to go live and will welcome its very first guests from 1 December 2018. The IntercityHotel Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof Sd is located on the South side of Frankfurt Central Station. It has 414 rooms and is thus the largest of the around 40 properties which currently make up the IntercityHotel portfolio.

Leonardo Hotel Planned In The Frankfurt Europaallee

The Leonardo Hotels, currently operating more than 150 hotels in Europe, are planning to open a fourth hotel in Frankfurt am Main. The Leonardo Hotel in Europaallee 94 is being built next to a 66-meter-high office tower and is due to open in 2021. Two more properties are set to open in Offenbach and Eschborn in 2020. Thereby, increasing the number of Leonardo Hotels in the Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region to six.

Markus Wölflik has been appointed as General Manager at Steigenberger Hotel Zingst

47-year old Markus Wölflik took over as General Manager of the Steigenberger Hotel Zingst on 15 October 2018. Mr. Wölflik is able to look back on 26 years of experience in the upscale hotel sector both in Germany and abroad. His most recent role was as Director of the 5-star Grand Hotel Binz, which is located on the island of Rügen and owned by the Private Palace Hotels & Resorts Group.In his new capacity as General Manager, Mr. Wölflik will head up both the Steigenberger Strandhotel and the Aparthotel in Zingst in future.
