Courtyard Marriott, Ahmedabad recently appointed Ekta Gupta as the head of Human Resource Management. Former HR manager at Hyatt Regency, Pune, Gupta is a proficient when it comes to managing professionals of the hospitality sector with a sturdy hand in improving talent and bringing out excellence. Gupta completed her graduation in 2006, with a degree in commerce from Kurukshetra University. Having been always a people’s person, she enrolled herself for an MBA degree in Human Resources and Marketing in 2009.

Ascott opens Citadines Apart’hotel in one of India’s fastest growing cities

Ramandeep Marwah has been appointed as the General Manager of the 115 key JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort and Spa, Marriott India’s first JW Marriott resort. He takes over his latest mandate effective May 2017 as a progression from being a Director of Operations at the JW Marriott Pune. A maven at managing luxury hotels, Ramandeep has worked across India’s leading hospitality groups, Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces; The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, to name a few. His journey with Marriott started in 2012 with JW Marriott Aerocity, New Delhi and since then he has managed the JW Marriott brand across Mumbai, Macau, and Pune. With 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he is adept at heading all departments of the hotel. However, Food & Beverage and Rooms Division remain his favourite areas of focus. Suman Dutta has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Amritsar

Suman Dutta Sharma has been appointed as the General Manager at Hyatt Amritsar. Starting his career with Choice Hotels International, he has worked in various capacities with brands like Starwood (now Marriott International), Hyatt, The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts and Taj Group of Hotels. His last assignment was as general manager of Taj Malabar Cochin in India followed by a stint with Columbia Asia responsible for the support functions operations in India, as VP, support services.

Manish Garg has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Gurgaon Baani Square

Manish Garg has been appointed as the General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Gurgaon Baani Square. He will reports to Daniel Welk, Vice President, Operations – India, Hilton Worldwide. Most recently, Mr Manish was General Manager for Hilton Garden Inn Trivandrum. He has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has held several positions in F&B as well as Conference and Events with Four Seasons and Marriott Hotels & Resorts in India, Australia and England. Mr Manish joined Hilton Worldwide in July 2011 as the Director of Operations for Hilton Chennai. He was promoted to General Manager, Hilton Garden Inn Trivandrum, in June 2013. Mr Manish embarked on a career in the hospitality industry after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business (Hotel Management) from the Australian International Hotel School in Canberra, Australia. He also holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai.
