AYANA Segara Bali Set to Open Within AYANA Estate in Jimbaran

The highly anticipated AYANA Segara Bali, a new AYANA hotel within the AYANA Estate in Jimbaran, will welcome its first guest on November 5, 2022 - reservations open now. The 205-room hotel introduces a contemporary twist to the legendary Balinese-inspired AYANA experience for a more laidback luxury style of living for guests to relax and unwind. The hotel is the fourth AYANA property inside the 90-hectare integrated AYANA Estate luxury community at Jimbaran, following the trio of AYANA Villas Bali, AYANA Resort Bali, and RIMBA by AYANA Bali, taking the total of 980 villas, suites, and rooms.

David Gavin has been appointed as Head Chef at Four Seasons Resort Bali At Jimbaran Bay

Iconic Sundara continues its refined evolution with the arrival of new Chef de Cuisine, Swedish-born David Gavin, who elevates the menu with umami-packed dishes that celebrate the unique and vibrant ingredients of Indonesia's Spice Islands.In delectable homage to Jimbaran Bay's traditional coconut-husk barbecues, every dish is somehow touched by raw flame, whether via roasting, grilling or smoking. David's creative use of local flavours and elegant presentation reflect his deep knowledge and love for Indonesia (where he met his wife), and his experience working with some of Bali's best chefs during six years at renowned Mozaic Ubud. Mentored by Mozaic chef-owner Chris Salans, David perfected the art of marrying French techniques and presentation with micro-sourced and wild-sourced local ingredients.

Somewhere Lombok will open in January 2023

In the center of the island's southern coast, is Somewhere Lombok, which will open in January 2023. The first project by sisters Claire and Valia Gontard, the property boasts 20 independent villas featuring private plunge pools and spectacular views with softly hued interiors. The buildings have all been designed to lead eyes outwards, with floor-to-ceiling windows and minimalistic interior design. Natural materials like wood, local stone, and concrete abound, and all of the furniture and lighting have been custom-made in neutral tones by Indonesian suppliers and manufacturers. The barefoot luxury vibes are rounded off by an infinity pool overlooking the bay of Are Guling, an in-house restaurant serving Indonesia fusion, and a serene spa.

Innit Lombok is set to open in early 2023

Offering an intimate cluster of seven beach houses designed by acclaimed Indonesian architect Andra Martin in collaboration with Gregorius Supie Yolodi, Innit Lombok is set to open in early 2023. Situated on a peninsula on the southeast side of the island—which is an easy 30-minute flight east from Bali—the two-bedroom standalone structures are a modern take on the traditional Lombok Lumbung-style house. Open-plan living and dining areas on the ground floor, with sand in place of flooring, give way to private bedrooms upstairs. Throughout the homes are bespoke furnishings made by Indonesian designers from locally sourced natural materials like Lombok and Sumbawa woods, terrazzo, Lombok stones, rattan, and rattan skins. Food is also a primary part of the guest experience and the onsite restaurant Anakampung focuses on fresh seafood caught by locals and home-grown vegetables.
