Vincent O’Gorman has been appointed as General Manager at The Westbury Hotel

Formally the General Manager of The Kensington Hotel, London, - one of the capital’s finest pied-a-terre hotels offering exceptional comfort, elegance and period charm - it took only 14 months until his forward thinking and ingenuity secured him the position as General Manager for the group’s flagship hotel. Having worked in the hotel industry his entire adult life, Vincent has gained a wealth of experience, expertise and accolades, which have enabled him to make significant contributions towards the success of each hotel he has been involved with. Vincent’s rise to prominence in the hospitality industry is no surprise considering the rate at which he has progressed since starting out in 1994, as a Trainee Manager for The Doyle Hotel Group. Since then, he has played an instrumental role in the pre-opening phases, redevelopment and the achievement of awards for multiple luxury hotels.

Gayle Tarmey has been appointed as General Manager at The Royal Theatre & TF Hotel

Gayle was appointed in September to oversee all aspects of the business. The focus for Gayle is to promote and manage the venue which specialises in concerts, theatre productions, corporate conferencing, exhibitions, sporting events and trade shows. Gayle’s most recent role was in Breaffy House & Resort and previous to that at Citywest Hotel & Convention Centre where she gained considerable experience in all aspects of venue management. Gayle holds a diploma in Hotel Management from Cathal Brugha St.

Sam Shepherd has been appointed as Group HR Manager at Jurys Inn

Sam Shepherd has been appointed Group HR Manger for Jurys Inn reporting into HR Director, Jennifer Lee. Sam has worked in HR for over 15 years mostly within the retail sector. Her most recent role was with Tesco Stores Ltd where she held a Group HR role in the UK. She then took on a project for the company in Malaysia supporting the transfer of over 100 employees from Makro to Tesco in Kuala Lumpur. In 2007 Sam was promoted and moved to Ireland to take up her new role as Head of HR for Retail at Tesco Ireland.
