Adrian Stoppe has been appointed as General Manager at Four Points by Sheraton Penang

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Stoppe as the new General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Penang. Stoppe brings a wealth of food and beverage and operational management experience to this new role. He will oversee all management functions at the hotel and will be instrumental in driving further revenue growth in both business and leisure segments.

Greg Gubiani has been appointed as General Manager at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral

Gregory Gubiani, is appointed as the new leader to the largest Aloft Hotels in the world, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral. Having hospitality experience and work knowledge, Gregory will be leading the team to provide a whole new level of experience to its guests and penetrate the brand further to the local market. A French national, Gregory is fluent in French, English, Spanish, Italian and knowledgeable in German. He graduated from School of Tourism and Leisure Management in Strasbourg, France.

Michael Lee has been appointed as General Manager at Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur

Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd (Frasers Hospitality), one of the world’s leading premier serviced and hotel residences has appointed Mr. Michael Lee as its new General Manager for its third and largest property in Kuala Lumpur, Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur. Lee brings with him a wealth of experience within the hospitality industry over the past 20 years having held leadership positions at Hotel Equatorial in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Hotel Radisson Unigraha Sumatera in Indonesia, Sunway Hotel in Shenzhen China and Pan Pacific Legacy Hotel in Malacca, Malaysia amongst others. Prior to joining Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur, Lee was General Manager of Asta Hotel in Shenzhen and Zhuhai, China, overseeing both hotel properties under the group’s flagship in the South China region. Lee started his 5-year hotel career with Concorde Hotel Singapore in 1990, during which he also graduated with a Diploma in Hotel Accommodation Management from The Singapore Hotel Association Training and Educational College (SHATEC) in 1993. In 1995, he earned a Certificate in Cabin in Flight Service, gaining a holistic background in hospitality as a Flight Steward in Singapore Airlines for 2 years before fully immersing himself in the hotel line. In 2008, Lee received his certification as an Internal Auditor in Quality Management System ISO 9002, from the much lauded consultancy and training organization in Nevilla-Clarke, Jakarta Indonesia.

Yip Lai Pheng has been appointed as Group Director of Sales and Marketing at Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur and Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur

Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd (Frasers Hospitality) one of the world’s leading premier serviced and hotel residences announces the appointment of Ms. Yip Lai Pheng as its new Group Director of Sales and Marketing for Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur and Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur. Yip will lead the Sales and Marketing team of both 315-key Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur and 445-key luxury Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur, both located at the very heart of the city. Apart from managing aspects of sales and marketing as well as reservations, Yip is also responsible for overseeing the staff’s training to ensure that the Fraser standards of service quality is maintained. An alumna of School Les Roches in Switzerland with a Diploma in Hotel Management and Tourism, Yip’s 30 year career in the hospitality industry began shortly after graduation when she joined the Hostellerie Bon Accueil in Switzerland, as an Assistant Hotel Manager. She further developed her career path through a series of appointments with luxury hotels including Pullman in Kuching, Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur, JW Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur and until recently, the Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Indonesia where she oversaw the Sales and Marketing teams as Director of Marketing for 2 years.

Andrew den Oudsten has been appointed as General Manager at Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa

Mr. den Oudsten is an Australian national and brings with him over 17 years of extensive experience in hotel management. Having previously worked in Canada, the United Arab Emirates, China, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Australia, he is has been all over the world. Now, for the first time, Mr. den Oudsten is making Kota Kinabalu his current city of residence by joining Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa as the general manager.

Andreas Senn has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) at Shangri-La , Kuala Lumpur

Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has announced the appointment of Andreas Senn as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of food and beverage. In his new capacity, Mr Senn will work very closely with new Executive Chef Mario Hofmann to explore new local and international food trends and opportunities to further enhance the diner’s experience. All of the food and beverage outlets in the hotel will come under Mr Senn’s management. Mr Senn has enjoyed a career spanning luxury hotels in the UK, the Maldives, Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand. He also brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous position as Executive Assistant Manager of food and beverage at Conrad Dubai in the UAE. Originally from Austria, Mr Senn studied at FVF St Johann Tyrol Hotel Management School before starting work as maitre d’/restaurant manager at various hotels there.

Azrule Aziz has been appointed as Director of Operations at Dorsett Putrajaya

Azrule Aziz has been appointed as the Director of Operations for Dorsett Putrajaya, Malaysia. Azrule will be assisting in the Dorsett Putrajaya pre-opening activities and strategic business planning. Azrule brings along with him more than 10 years working experience in the hospitality industry. Before joining Dorsett Putrajaya, Azrule was the Director of Food & Beverage at JW Marriott Surabaya, Indonesia. Prior to that he was with Hotel Majapahit Surabaya, Indonesia, The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur and Newport Marriot, Rhoda Island-USA.

Lee Ng has been promoted to General Manager at Silka Cheras

Lee Ng as General Manager for Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Lee joined the group with more than 16 years of hospitality experience; and shall be responsible for the hotel’s overall business performance, and day-to-day operations as well as management of the 319 value-led hotel located in the bustling suburb of Kuala Lumpur. Prior to his appointment, Lee was the Complex Director of Sales & Marketing at a Sheraton resort, The Royal Begonia, Sanya and has moved up the ranks within the Starwood group for the last nine years. He has also worked with Shangri-La Singapore, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur and The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur.
