Marriott International Signs Agreement To Bring The Iconic St. Regis Brand To Oman

Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Alfardan Group to introduce the iconic St. Regis brand to Oman. Expected to open in 2022, the 271-room St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort is planned to rise on a prime beachfront plot within Oman's lifestyle and leisure destination, Al Mouj Muscat. The project also includes plans for 170 branded residential units.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the rugged Al Hajar Mountains, which form a stark contrast to the historic capital city's lively waterfront, W Muscat sits at the intersection of the bustling Shatti Al Qurum area. The new hotel opens in an ideal locale to bring the W brand's signature take on playful luxury to the serene waterfront of Oman.

Petr Dubsky has been appointed as General Manager at Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat

Petr Dubsky started his career with Radisson Hotel Group in June 2008 as Bar Manager at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin. Throughout his career, he has held numerous positions within the Company such as Food & Beverage Manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Batumi and Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, Tbilisi in Georgia. In 2014, he moved on to the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa in Bahrain as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Food & Beverage. In 2017 Petr joined the Mentor Mentee program which he successfully completed in March 2018. Before moving to Oman to work at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat as General Manager, Petr was the General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah Al Salam for a year and half.

Emmanuel Pauliat has been appointed as Executive Chef at InterContinental Muscat

InterContinental Muscat welcomes back Executive Chef Emmanuel Pauliat. Chef Emmanuel is bringing with him over 28 years of international culinary experiences from various five-star hotels and a Michelin-starred restaurant across Middle East, Europe, and East Africa. He will be at the helm of all culinary aspects of InterContinental Muscat, from menu enhancements to efficient kitchen operations including six bars and restaurants, room service, large banquets, outside catering events together with his dynamic kitchen team.

Adnan Khan has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at InterContinental Muscat

Adnan Khan joins as Director of Food and Beverage and will oversee the hotel's food and beverage operations, focusing on innovation, creativity, and providing extraordinary culinary experiences for guests. Khan brings with him an extensive wealth of knowledge with 18 years of global experience in luxury operations including East Africa, Malaysia, Australia, India, and Dubai. He most recently served as the Cluster Director of Food and Beverage for Kempinski Kenya and prior to that he held several positions in various brands including Marriott, Four Seasons, Jumeirah, and InterContinental hotels.
