Lior Bebera has been appointed as General Manager at InterContinental Bucharest

InterContinental Bucharest appoints a new general manager, in the person of Lior Bebera. He is replacing Stefan Frank, after being more than four years in this position, a press release shows.In this role, Lior Bebera will be primarily responsible for managing the hotel operations. A German national, born in Israel, Bebera has lived and worked in seven countries, on three continents.

Angelo Zuccala has been appointed as General Manager at Crowne Plaza Bucharest Hotel

Ana Hotels Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Angelo Zuccala as General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Bucharest Hotel, owned and operated by Ana Hotels under franchise agreement with the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG). Angelo Zuccala has an overall 19 – year professional experience in the hospitality industry, the past 12 of which were within the InterContinental Hotels Group, where he specialized in sales, food & beverage and in managing large hotel operations. The first senior management position he held within IHG was with the Intercontinental Carlton Hotel on the Croisette in Cannes, starting in 2002, where he managed the Sales, Conventions & Banqueting department dealing with many city trade fairs, MICE events and the world renowned Cannes Film Festival. In 2008, Angelo took on an executive position in Food & Beverage at the Intercontinental Hurghada Resorts and Casino in Egypt, following which, in 2009, he returned to Europe as Director of the Intercontinental Malta, a 451 room hotel with 11 restaurants and bars and over 5000 sqm of meeting facilities. Since May 2012, Angelo has held the Executive Assistant Manager position at the Intercontinental Bucharest, looking after the overall operation of the hotel.

Yann Marteau has been appointed as director of business development at Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest Hotel

Yann Marteau has been recently appointed director of business development for Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest. He will report to Linda Griffin, general manager of Athenee Palace Hilton, and will be responsible for the sales and revenue strategy of this hotel. Previously, Yann Marteau held the position of director of sales and marketing at a luxury hotel in Indonesia. With 11 years of experience, Marteau’s career in hospitality started in Dubai with the Jumeirah group, commencing at the Emirates Towers Hotel and continuing to the Burj Al Arab. Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest was built in 1914, and currently has 272 rooms, and 11 conference rooms. The hotel posted a turnover of around EUR 11.8 million last year.
