Pere Taberner has been appointed as President at Hostelco

Pere Taberner, Vice-President for Western Europe and Africa of the Welbilt group, world leader in the manufacture and sale of equipment for the foodservice sector, is the new president of Hostelco, the international trade fair organised by Fira de Barcelona that showcases equipment and services for restaurants, hotels and catering. The institution's Board of Directors made the above appointment after thanking Rafael Olmos for his work at the helm of the trade fair's Organising Committee over the last 5 years.

Meliá Hotels International Announces the New Miranda de Pedralbes, a Gran Meliá Hotel, an Exclusive Urban Resort in the City of Barcelona

Meliá Hotels International, the owners of this prestigious hotel and its key investor, Tyrus Capital, are announcing a long-term agreement by which Meliá will manage the former Rey Juan Carlos Hotel in Barcelona. The hotel will be operated under the luxury Gran Meliá brand with the name "Miranda de Pedralbes", a tribute to the residential area in which the hotel is located. Its location in the Pedralbes area, next to the exclusive Polo Club and enjoying exceptional views of the city and surrounded by beautiful gardens, make it an oasis of tranquillity within the city, for both local residents and guests. The current owner of the hotel and Tyrus Capital, a key investor in the assets, have entrusted Meliá Hotels International to manage the hotel and the Congress Centre attached to it, and to elevate it to a new phase of success, after having been closed since the suspension of its operations in 2020.

(an affiliate of Grupo Inversor Hesperia) for Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort. Following significant renovation work, the iconic 192-room resort property is set to debut the Grand Hyatt brand in Spain in mid-2023. Radisson Hotel Group debuts in Lanzarote with Radisson Blu opening
