His extensive knowledge and expertise is top-class boasting eight years working with Anantara, and a total of 27 years in the hospitality industry. The tri-linguist who speaks fluent English, French and Arabic has worked across the Middle East, Europe and South East Asia.

In 2015, he moved from New York to Bangkok as Director of Rooms at the W Bangkok and was later promoted to Hotel Manager, his most recent position.

Since he embarked on his career, Wickramarathne has worked in a series of roles in Europe and Asia, rising from Night Manager at an AccorHotels property in Zurich to Deputy Head of Sales - Events & Banqueting for the popular Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
