Emanuele Raffuzzi has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager at The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel

Emanuele Raffuzzi brings in more than 25 years of experience spanning Middle East, Europe, and USA to his new role. Prior to joining The Retreat Palm Dubai, he was the director of operations at The Ritz-Carlton Al Hamra Beach in Ras Al Khaimah. He held various positions in the food and beverage sector including director of operations of U-Republic Ltd in the UAE, and general manager of a food service industry supplier in Italy. Some of his previous hotel affiliations include The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, The Pierre Four Seasons in New York, and The Ritz-Carlton Dubai.

Wyndham Launches La Quinta Brand in the Middle East with New Hotel in Historic Area of Dubai

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel franchising company by number of properties with over 8,900 hotels across nearly 95 countries, today announced the debut of its La Quinta by Wyndham brand in the Middle East with a new 100-room property in Dubai. Expected to open in March 2021, La Quinta by Wyndham Dubai Bur Dubai will be centrally located in the historic Bur Dubai district. Wyndham continues to expand the La Quinta brand - a leading upper-midscale brand with nearly 940 hotels offering contemporary design, thoughtful amenities and friendly service - throughout the world. This hotel marks the 75th La Quinta property to open since Wyndham acquired the brand in 2018. La Quinta has now expanded to nine countries: Canada, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, Turkey, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. The brand has also announced plans to open eight new La Quinta hotels in the Dominican Republic. The new Dubai property is located in one of the city's bustling commercial hubs offering easy access to leisure attractions, including the Dubai Cruise Terminal at Port Rashid, The Dubai Mall, the Dubai Frame and Jumeirah Mosque, as well as business hotspots such as the Dubai World Trade Centre and the city's financial district. The newly refurbished hotel will boast contemporary guest rooms and elegant interiors, combining Dubai's traditional trading colours with a modern twist that replicates the city's lively scene. La Quinta by Wyndham Dubai Bur Dubai will also offer a 100-square metre event and meeting space and a host of additional amenities, including an outdoor pool with pool deck, a spacious spa with sauna and steam room, and a modern fitness centre. Matthew Mullan has been named Cluster General Manager at Three soon-to-open Hilton properties

Ahead of their openings later this year, Hilton has named the cluster general manager for three hotels on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island. Matthew Mullan will lead the teams at Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, The WB Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton, and DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences, using more than three decades of experience to propel the hotels into the public eye.

Reiner Lupfer has been appointed as Executive Chef at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort

Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi has welcomed a new executive chef with the appointment of Reiner Lupfer. The German national will look after all food and beverage at the beachfront destination, bringing more than 25 years of experience to the role, and arrives from a spell as executive chef of Jumeirah Mina A'Salam in Dubai.
