Emily Issa has been appointed as Human Resources Manager at Hili Rayhaan by Rotana

Emily Issa has been transferred to lead the Human Resources Department at Hili Rayhaan by Rotana hotel in May 2017. Coming from Syria, Emily joined Rotana as Paymaster at Afamia Rotana Resort, Syria on 01 November 2010. She later moved to the UAE in December 2011 where she joined Villa Rotana, Dubai as Human Resources Secretary. In October 2012, Emily got promoted to Human Resources Coordinator and in November 2013 she joined the pre-opening team of Hili Rayhaan by Rotana as Human Resources Officer and later as the Assistant Director of Human Resources at Al Ain Rotana in September 2015 before being promoted to her current position as Human Resources Manager.

Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Resort Slated to Open in 2019

Hilton today announced that Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Resort will be part of the AED12 billion development plan announced by Miral for the southern end of Yas Island, in efforts to further position the island among the world's most sought-after destinations by 2022. Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Resort, opening in 2019, will be located in the Yas Bay, a 3-kilometre stretch that is anticipated to become one of the most iconic and vibrant waterfront destinations in the region. The resort's facilities will include a multi-purpose conference centre, seven dining outlets and an innovative urban beach concept with an infinity pool suspended above the waters of the Arabian Gulf. The resort is also nearby the 18,000 capacity Yas Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena designed to host large and intimate scale events including sporting competitions, major cultural performances, concerts and MICE activities. 

Rafat Gotta has been appointed as General Manager at Coral Dubai Deira Hotel

HMH – Hospitality Management Holding has appointed Rafat Gotta as the new General Manager at Coral Dubai Deira Hotel. With a strong track record of accomplishments, Gotta brings over 18 years of experience in the industry having worked at properties managed by international brands like InterContinental Hotel Group, Kempinski and Marriott International. Prior to taking over the new role, Gotta was the Hotel Manager at Holiday Inn Express Dubai Airport.

John Raffoul has been named Hotel Manager at Mercure Hotel Apartments Dubai Barsha Heights

With more than 14 years’ experience in the hotel industry, Raffoul has guided five UAE high-end properties extend their market lead since 2005. Since 2009, Raffoul has worked in five-star properties including Sofitel The Palm, Dubai, Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre and international luxury hotel chains. Hany Samuel has been appointed as Director of Rooms at Mercure Hotel Apartments Dubai Barsha Heights

Samuel is said to be a service-focussed and innovative individual within the senior management team. With expertise in the pre-opening, opening, takeover, and rebranding of hotels and resorts, Samuel will develop a robust foundation through policy and process, and deliver effective solutions to diverse business challenges, succession planning, budgetary, and organisational objectives, a company statement said. Earlier roles have all been in operational and management positions in front office for luxury and five-star hotels across the Middle East.

Julien Besançon has been appointed as Cluster Director of Operations at Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort & Hilton Dubai The Walk

Besançon brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including eight years with Hilton Group across the Middle East. He will be leading the operations teams, focusing on food and beverage (F&B) fineness for the two properties totaling up to 752 rooms and more than 15 restaurants and bars.
