Clara Lloyd-Beavis has been appointed as Head of MICE Sales at InterContinental London – The O2

The InterContinental London – The O2, managed and operated by the Arora Group, has enhanced its senior MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) team with two new appointments. Elisa Rego da Silva joins the leadership team as Director of MICE with a remit which covers the management of the events division from a proactive sales, conversion and planning perspective and Clara Lloyd-Beavis takes on the role of Head of MICE Sales, focusing on pro-active sales.Clara joins from Chelsea Harbour Hotel where most recently she held the position of Director of MICE Sales having joined as MICE and Entertainment Sales Manager in November 2015. Clara started her career with QMH Hotels before joining the graduate management programme and progressing through the ranks with De Vere Venues.

The InterContinental London – The O2, managed and operated by the Arora Group, has enhanced its senior MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) team with two new appointments. Elisa Rego da Silva joins the leadership team as Director of MICE with a remit which covers the management of the events division from a proactive sales, conversion and planning perspective. Elisa was most recently Associate Director of Sales at Andaz Liverpool Street, part of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, having joined the hotel in 2009 as Events Manager. Elisa began her career with an 18 month hospitality internship with Holiday Inn Express, part of IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group).

Katherine Gordon has been appointed as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing at COMO Hotels and Resorts

COMO Hotels and Resorts are pleased to announce the appointment of their new Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for COMO Metropolitan London, COMO Metropolitan London Apartments and COMO The Halkin.Katherine Gordon, who will be based at COMO Metropolitan London on Park Lane will be responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing, Revenue and Events Teams using her extensive experience to enhance the profile of the London properties.

Katie Benson has been appointed as Regional VP - Europe & General Manager at Jumeirah Carlton Tower

Katie Benson has also enjoyed more than 30 years in the hospitality industry with experience in general management and operations, human resources, asset management and development. She joined Jumeirah in 2015 from Langham Group where she held roles including CEO and Executive Director of Langham Hospitality Investments, Regional Vice President for the Americas and Caribbean for Langham Hospitality Group, Regional Vice President for the Americas and Europe and Managing Director at Langham London. A joint British-Australian citizen, Katie has also held positions for Langham Hospitality Group in Melbourne and Hong Kong, as well as several senior executive positions for Starwood Hotels and Resorts throughout the Middle East, Australia and China. In her new dual role as Regional Vice President Europe and General Manager Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Katie remains in London, the city in which she grew up, and now reports to Group Chief Operating Officer Marc Dardenne. Graham Kiy took up his new role as Regional Vice President of Greater China and General Manager of Jumeirah Nanjing in August 2016. Graham joined Jumeirah in 2010 as the Hotel Manager for Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. He has extensive experience of the Asia Pacific market having spent more than 30 years working in South East Asia and Greater China undertaking a number of General Manager positions in China, Singapore and Manila. He is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as well as German, French, Indonesian and Thai.
