Julie Steadman has been appointed as Account Director EMEA at BridgeStreet Global Hospitality

Spending her entire career in the travel industry, Julie Steadman joins BridgeStreet as an account director for EMEA. Predominantly working within the corporate sector, Julie initially worked with TMCs, then heading up the sales teams for airlines Finnair, Air France and bmi British Midland, managing the relationships for major TMCs and corporates. Most recently, Julie headed up the Trade Sales Team at Merlin Entertainments managing the third party relationships for Thorpe Park, Legoland Windsor Resort and Chessington World of Adventures Resort.

Marc Thornton has been appointed as Regional Director of Sales EMEA at BridgeStreet Global Hospitality

Joining the team as Regional Director of Sales, Marc Thornton brings more than 20 years of experience in international sales management, with substantial experience of leading growth strategies in a diverse range of corporate and consumer travel organizations. Prior to BridgeStreet, Marc was Head of Sales & Distribution of Monarch Airlines, where he oversaw all aspects of sales and distribution in both the U.K. and Europe relating to maximizing the sales revenue. Before his career at Monarch Airlines, he had senior management roles at American Express, Hertz, Dollar Thrifty Europe and EasyCar.com.

Anna Hodgins has joined Marriott London County Hall as Director of Sales

Anna Hodgins joins the Marriott London County Hall as Director of Sales. She is making the short trip across the capital from her previous role at Marriott Grosvenor House.hort trip across the capital from her previous role at Marriott Grosvenor House. Anna graduated with a combined BA in International Tourism Management and Events Management in 2006. Whilst she was at university she worked at the Marriott Grosvenor House on a voluntary basis in the events department.

[Infographic] Digital media influencers under 30 dominating the digital world

An increasing number of people under the age of 30 are dominating the digital media space and a new infographic from One Productions has taken a closer look at who holds the most influence. The majority of those featured in the top eight started their channels or blogs when they were still teenagers. Jamal Edwards was just 14 when he started playing around with a video camera before launching a YouTube channel and subsequently a broadcast company, SBTV. At 23, he is now worth £8m, reaches over 406,000 people on YouTube and employs 12 people. Similarly, Zoe Sugg (22 years old) launched her YouTube channel Zoella on the back of her blog in 2009. She now commands an audience of 4.3 million on YouTube.
