Ardi Dulaku has been appointed as Beverage Manager at L’Auberge de Sedona, A Destination Hotel

Overseeing L'Auberge de Sedona's beverage program is Beverage Manager Ardi Dulaku, tasked with refreshing the resort's cocktail menus along with beer, wine, and spirits offerings at signature restaurant Cress on Oak Creek and ETCH Kitchen & Bar, which serves elevated casual classics. A native of Kosovo, Dulaku has called Sedona home since 1999 and been captivated by the beverage industry since childhood. He grew up on various vineyards and watched his brother work as a bartender, ultimately deciding to follow in his footsteps. He worked at resorts and hospitality outlets including Amara Resort and Spa and Vacation Resorts International in Sedona, Ariz.. At L'Auberge de Sedona, Dulaku finds inspiration in the freedom to be creative with beverages bringing a keen eye for trendsetting, fresh ingredients, and an unmatched palate to his role. He is actively building a beverage program complementary of the resort's wellness-inspired, calming ambiance.

Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners announced today its plan to open Graduate Tucson, part of the Graduate Hotels® collection, in Tucson, Arizona. Xanterra Investing $30 Million for Rebuild of Maswik South Lodging at South Rim, Grand Canyon Slated for 2020 Opening

Grand Canyon South Rim is getting a "birthday present" for its Centennial: as part of its concession contract with the National Park Service (NPS), Xanterra Travel Collection is investing $30 million to rebuild the Maswik South Lodging complex at South Rim. The existing 90 rooms, constructed in 1971, will be replaced with 120 new lodging units within four new lodging structures in the same general location. The new Maswik guest lodging is anticipated to open in Summer of 2020.

Element Hotel at SkySong expects to open in June

A key new addition to Scottsdale's hospitality market has hit some key milestones on its way to a projected June 2019 opening. The new 157-room property is one of Marriott's premium lifestyle brand hotels and will soon occupy the southwestern corner of SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center complex near Scottsdale Road and Enterprise Drive. Construction on the hotel is currently on schedule, and Jackson-Shaw expects the Element hotel to open in mid-to-late June 2019.

Carlos Morales has been appointed as General Manager at Royal Palms Resort and Spa (part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt)

As the newly appointed general manager of the resort, Morales has been part of the Hyatt team for more than 20 years and recently relocated from Hyatt Centric Key West in Florida where he served as the general manager. Prior to Key West, Morales was opening hotel manager of Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen and was director of food and beverage at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa.

Alex Robinson has been appointed as Executive Chef at Royal Palms Resort and Spa (part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt)

Alex Robinson has taken the lead of all culinary operations for the resort, including T. Cook's, with his new role as executive chef. This will be Chef Robinson's seventh luxury-brand hotel position throughout his nearly 18-year career. Chef Robinson previously worked for The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel as the executive sous chef overseeing multiple outlets as well as servicing 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Robinson has also worked on the culinary teams at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North, Four Season Resort Jackson Hole, opening team member Four Seasons Hotel Denver, The Ritz-Carlton Chicago and Four Seasons Hotel Boston. Chef Robinson is a graduate from Le Cordon Bleu Scottsdale with an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts.
