Jade Hammond has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at OLS Hotels in Honolulu, Hawaii

Chris Machorek has been appointed as General Manager at Sheraton Kaua’i Coconut Beach Resort

Sheraton Kaua'i Coconut Beach Resort announces the appointment of Chris Machorek as general manager. Machorek returns to the newly flagged property, formerly a Courtyard by Marriott Kaua'i at Coconut Beach Resort, where he previously served as general manager for two years. He brings over 25 years of robust senior leadership experience in the hospitality industry, specifically on the island of Kauai, to the full-service oceanfront resort. In his role, Machorek oversees operations for 314 guest rooms, five F&B outlets including a twice weekly luau, and 8,000 square feet of event space.

Janice Ishihara has been appointed as Senior Manager of Sales and Marketing at Waimea Plantation Cottages

Waimea Plantation Cottages, a 43-acre oceanfront property with 61-authentic plantation cottages that is operated by Coast Hotels, announces the appointment of Janice Ishihara as its new senior manager of sales and marketing. In her new position, Ishihara will be responsible for growing sales and identifying markets for the cottages. In addition, she will uncover new revenue streams, maintain current accounts and programs and bring more exposure to Waimea Plantation Cottages. Ishihara will be based in Oahu.Ishihara brings more than 20 years of experience in Hawaii hospitality including sales, marketing, reservations and operations to her new role at Waimea Plantation Cottages. Her passion for hospitality has allowed her to work in hotels all over the Hawaiian Islands. Most recently, Ishihara held the role of Account Director of Group Sales for Kahala Hotel & Resort in Oahu. Prior to that, she was the Director of Sales at Kauai Beach Resort, managing sales, catering and reservations. She has also held sales and marketing positions at Turtle Beach Resort, Princeville Resort and Hyatt Regency Maui.Ishihara is a graduate of Kapiolani Community College and has served on a number of tourism destination marketing boards on Oahu and Kauai, including the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association's Scholarship Committee, Meeting Professionals International, Financial & Insurance Conferenc e Professionals and American Society of Association Executives. She has received numerous awards including Manager of the Quarter for Hyatt Regency Maui, sales and marketing awards for Best Site Inspections and Best Revenue Management at Princeville Resort and garnered Hotel of the Year for the 350 rooms and under category.Native to Honolulu, Ishihara is very active and loves exploring the outdoors by golfing, hiking and adventuring out in the ocean in any way possible. When she is not working or outside, Janice volunteers as a teacher's assistant at her church for the Children's Ark.

Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, situated on 23 oceanfront acres at iconic Pu'u Keka'a (Black Rock) on Ka'anapali Beach, unveiled a multimillion-dollar transformation of its lobby, including a new expansive open-air lanai, lounge, reception area and The Sandbar, Ka'anapali's only lobby bar. Charles Head has been named General Manager at Fairmont Orchid

Fairmont Orchid, a luxury resort along the Kohala Coast of Hawai'i Island, is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Head as General Manager as of December 13, 2019. Charles will oversee all operational, financial and strategic aspects of the 540-room luxury resort. Bringing over 30 years of luxury hospitality experience to this position, Charles joins Fairmont Orchid from his most recent role as General Manager at Claremont Club & Spa, a Fairmont Hotel, a position he held since 2017. Charles was also General Manager of Fairmont Kea Lani from 2010-2017 and during his tenure at the all-suite and villa resort, the property was named Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' 2015 North America Hotel of the Year. Prior to assuming his role at Fairmont Kea Lani, Charles held the position of General Manager at Fairmont St. Andrews, Scotland. Charles also held executive-level positions with Fairmont Winnipeg, Fairmont Orchid and Fairmont Empress. He joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 1996 at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Charles participated in the Hotel and Restaurant Administration Program from Camosun College, Victoria. He and his wife, Lisa, reside on Hawai'i Island with their two golden retrievers, Koa and Kai.

Montage Kapalua Bay has announced the appointment of Eric Faivre as executive chef. With over thirty years of culinary experience at luxury resorts throughout Hawaii, Asia, and Europe, Faivre will be responsible for leading the resort's culinary operations. He will work closely with local farmers and vendors to source fresh and seasonal products, create new menus for the resort's dining venues, including Cane & Canoe, The Hideaway, and Cliff House, and manage the culinary team.

Flynt Payne has been appointed as General Manager at Mauna Lani Point, The Islands at Mauna Lani, Champion Ridge and The Residences of Laule’a

Payne joins Destination Residences Hawaii with an extensive career in resort leadership. As general manager, Payne oversees the management and operation of properties in the Kona-Kohala portfolio, comprising Mauna Lani Point, The Islands at Mauna Lani, Champion Ridge, estate home management at The Cape at Mauna Lani, and association management throughout Mauna Lani Resort, including The Residences of Laule'a. Prior to his role at Destination Residences Hawaii, Payne served in senior leadership positions for luxury resorts and private clubs in Mexico, Colorado, Oregon and Hawaii. On Maui, Payne assisted with the launch of Montage Kapalua Bay, leading the resort through the transition from a distressed property into one of Hawaii's premier luxury destinations. Most recently, Payne worked with Sunriver Resort in Bend, Oregon, where he was active in leading the charge in sustainability efforts by forming a dedicated committee on the topic, and also spent time at The Sebastian Vail in Vail, Colorado.

As a Certified Manager of Associations (CMCA) and as an Association Management Specialist (AMS), Sisneros boasts a robust history of leading association management with more than 70 associations in Hawaii and is a subject matter expert in local condominium and community association councils. She provides a wealth of expertise to Destination Residences Hawaii as it pertains to association managing agent duties and compliance with State of Hawaii statutes, in addition to maintaining the condition and value of the property, from the common areas of the resort grounds to ensuring proper financial planning for the property. With a combined 20 years of experience in real estate and construction throughout Hawaii and Oregon, Sisneros' professional background includes serving as general partner for Island Property Consulting, and additional roles as vice president of operations for an association management firm on Maui and co-owner and operator of a general construction company.
