Steven Boswell has been appointed as Managing Director at Flamingo Resort & Spa and The Sandman

Pyramid Global Hospitality is thrilled to announce the appointment of Steven Boswell, affectionately known as Boz, as the new Managing Director for both the Flamingo Resort & Spa and The Sandman, two recently renovated, historic hotels in the city of Santa Rosa in Northern California's Wine Country.Steven Boswell grew up on a farm in Tennessee, and his journey into the world of hospitality began during his childhood summers traveling with his grandparents around the United States. Every year he looked forward to these two-week-long road trips around the country, where they would often drive to a different city and stay in a range of hotels from Howard Johnson to high-end, sparking a lifelong love of travel along the way. He was always fascinated by the hospitality of a place, and often, rather than relax by the pool at a hotel, he could be found in the lobby, watching guests check-in.To kick off his distinguished career, Boz graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and followed that with a two-year program at Disney in Anaheim, where he honed his skills and passion for the service industry. He then attended Kellogg School of Hospitality at Cal Poly Pomona, before venturing up north to Lake Tahoe, where he spent a decade doing sales and marketing at Caesars - up until Sheraton acquired and sold the resort. He then spent nearly ten years with Sheraton in Los Angeles, before spending time at various illustrious hotels up and down the West Coast, resulting in Boz's decision to take the leap into hotel operations. His first general management position was in Key West, Florida at the Ocean Quay on Duvall St., where he spent three years and seven hurricanes before returning to the West Coast. Boz brings with him to Sonoma County a wealth of experience, having most recently served at the prestigious Tivoli Lodge in Vail, Colorado. While Boz may be new to Santa Rosa, he is no stranger to California, having successfully led hospitality teams in notable locations such as Long Beach, Los Angeles, Lake Arrowhead, Santa Monica, and Palm Springs. As the Managing Director at both the Flamingo Resort & Spa and The Sandman, Boz is drawn to the vibrant energy and laid-back California vibes that remind him of his second home of Palm Springs. He looks forward to now calling Sonoma's Wine Country home, and as an avid foodie and outdoorsman, he anticipates exploring the region's fantastic restaurants, tasting rooms, and beautiful parks as well as fly-fishing, mountain biking, and skiing up in Tahoe.
