Marriott International, Inc. has appointed San Francisco Bay Area hotel veteran Clif Clark as General Manager of The Westin St. Francis and Area General Manager of San Francisco. As the leader of The Westin St. Francis, he will guide the strategy and vision for the 1195-room property, inspiring a culture of uncompromising excellence while driving exceptional guest experiences and financial performance. He will also be responsible for directing operations for five additional Marriott properties located in San Francisco including Marriott Marquis, W San Francisco, JW Marriott, The Clancy, and Marriott Union Square.

Tyler Parham has been promoted to Executive Chef at Union & Vine located inside Springhill Suites. Parham was most recently a Banquet Server at the property and is excited to bring a new spin on the Atascadero-based restaurant. Prior to his time at Springhill Suites, he was Head Baker/Manager at Back Porch Bakery and Café in Atascadero and Food Services Manager at Cava Robles RV Resort in Paso Robles.

Julie Cablay has been appointed as Executive Chef at Wild Onion Bistro & Bar at Hotel Citrine

Wild Onion Bistro & Bar at Hotel Citrine is pleased to announce Julie Cablay as Executive Chef for the California-cuisine inspired eatery. In addition to running the breakfast, weekend brunch and the all-day bistro menu, Chef Cablay is responsible for the culinary operations for Hotel Citrine and the adjacent AC Palo Alto. Chef Cablay recently accepted the position of Executive Chef after serving as interim chef for the destination.

Amber Arbucci is a celebrated artist, angel investor, philanthropist, and former top fashion model. Arbucci developed early roots in the high fashion industry as a model, where she was exposed to the industry's finest artists, photographers, and tastemakers. During this period, she developed an interest in photography and began her career as an artist in 2006. Her work has been exhibited at Art Basel, Avant Gallery in Miami and NYC, Opera Gallery in Soho, and in her own Astor Place gallery. Arbucci's art is as intimate and sensitive as it is daring, and her admirers include United Nations Ambassadors, Elon Musk, and former US Presidents. Arbucci's expertise in the arts and philanthropic endeavors will be put to excellent use in cultivating The Georgian's community and guest relationships as the property transforms into a cultural hotspot in the heart of Santa Monica.

Bre Smith has been appointed as Director of Operations at The Georgian, Santa Monica

Bre Smith joins the team at The Georgian with over 15 years of experience in hospitality and management, placing a special focus on art, creativity, service, and the overall guest experience. Bre has played an integral role in over eight hotel openings from conception to launch and has assisted in the transition of an additional four hotels and six restaurants. Her hospitality journey includes roles at elite properties including the Beverly Hilton, the Ambassador Chicago, the Hollywood Roosevelt, Soho House Chicago, the Triumph Hotel in New York, and several Ritz-Carlton hotels across the globe. In addition to her extensive industry background, Bre is a gifted, self-taught painter with a number of exhibitions under her belt. Her work as a hospitality executive is informed by her artistry. She views hospitality as a creative expression in the way that she creates memorable experiences for guests.

Melissa Volpert brings over 30 years of experience in hospitality sales and marketing, with a focus on entertainment, fashion, and art. In 1997, she was the very first employee of the Standard brand and, alongside Andre Balazs, played a key role in the creation of the iconic hotel company that revolutionized the industry. In her role as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Standard, Hollywood, she managed all sales and marketing initiatives with an emphasis on building and maintaining guest relationships, strategic planning, cultural programming, partnerships, and market positioning.

James R. Hedges, IV has been appointed as Curator of the Arts at The Beverly Hills Hotel and Hotel Bel-Air
