sbe Announces a $72 Million Development, The First Hotel in Detroit

sbe, a leading international hospitality group that develops, manages and operates award-winning global hospitality brands, is proud to announce the debut of Temple Detroit, a House of Originals hotel, in collaboration with developer Byzantine Holdings and its partners Christos Moisides, David Sutherlandand Gretchen Carhartt Valade. The $72 million project is the first hotel to be signed following the announcement of the House of Originals debut. Temple Detroit, slated to open in June of 2020, will feature 100 hotel rooms and 70 residential units in addition to a sbe restaurant and mixology / nightclub venues. The project will be designed by award-winning architecture firm McIntosh Poris Associates alongside Kravitz Design, Lenny Kravitz' interior design company based in New York.

NoHo Hospitality Group announces the hire of Mary-Catherine Moore as Director of Events and Catering at the new Shinola Hotel, which officially opened its doors in early January. NoHo Hospitality was tapped as the food and beverage operator for the hotel and oversees all venues including San Morello, Evening Bar, The Brakeman, Penny Red's, the Living Room, in-room dining, and event spaces.

AJ Capital Partners To Open Graduate Hotel In East Lansing, Michigan

Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners announced today its plan to bring Graduate Hotels to East Lansing, Michigan. The 10-story, 194-room ground-up hotel development will be located on Grand River Avenue at Evergreen Avenue, adjacent to Michigan State University in the heart of downtown East Lansing. Construction will begin in spring 2019 and, once complete in fall 2020, the hotel will open as Graduate East Lansing, part of the Graduate Hotels collection.

EVEN Hotel Ann Arbor opening Q3 2019

The 111-room, four-story hotel will be located off of I-94 and close to the University of Michigan campus, one of the preeminent research universities in the U.S. The hotel will also be in close proximity to various biotechnology, healthcare, consumer product and technology companies, and located 27 miles west of the Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). The EVEN Hotel Ann Arbor will have 2,432 square feet of meeting space, Athletic Studio, a business center, an indoor pool and spa, an outdoor garden and patio and onsite parking. Expected to open in Q3 2019, the hotel is owned by Graham Hotel Systems. This will be the first EVEN Hotel in Michigan.
