Alex Alvarez has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Centric Brickell Miami

In his role as Director of Sales & Marketing, Alvarez will lead the hotel"s sales and marketing teams, while working closely with the General Manager to develop and execute sales strategies for groups and events to maximize hotel revenues. He brings more than 17 years of hospitality experience to this position. Previously, Alvarez worked for nine years for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and several hospitality companies leading sales strategy, including H ilton Miami Downtown, Hyatt Regency Miami and White Lodging Services.

Kerem Kendigelen has been appointed as General Manager at Playa Largo Resort & Spa

Two years with the St. Regis in Washington, D.C. gave Kerem another perspective into luxury hotel product and service. While in San Juan, Kerem also directed the Food & Beverage Council for The Ritz-Carlton brand in The Caribbean & Latin America (CALA). During his time in these positions, he was responsible for exceeding the highest standards of culinary, meetings, and catering excellence, while maximizing all business opportunities to drive sales.

Marriott International announced today that the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in New Smyrna Beach, Florida is scheduled to open this Tuesday, January 9, 2018. David Goette has been appointed as Executive Chef at Pelican Grand Beach Resort
