Courtyard by Marriott Brand to Open First Hotel in Colombia

Marriott International (NYSE:MAR) announced plans to open the first Courtyard by Marriott brand hotel in Bogota, Colombia’s largest financial, political, and cultural center, also known as one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in South America. The deal was signed with close affiliates of Inrama S.A., a prominent construction company in Colombia with over 37 years of experience and a portfolio that includes the largest shopping center in Bogota and some of the most sought after office space and residential units.

Hilton Worldwide Signs Management Agreement for Hilton Hotels & Resorts Development in Santa Fe, Mexico City

Hilton Worldwide announced that it has signed a management agreement for a 260-room new-build Hilton hotel in the Santa Fe area of Mexico City, Mexico. The hotel will form part of Samara - one of the five largest mixed-use complexes in the country, featuring more than 3.8 million square feet of space combining corporate offices, a shopping center and the upscale Hilton Santa Fe Mexico City. Currently under construction, Hilton Santa Fe Mexico City is expected to open in March 2014.

Marriott International Announces First Hotel in the Northeastern Region of Brazil

Marriott International (NYSE:MAR) announced today plans to open a new 162-room Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil's largest and most modern city in the Northeastern region of the country. The hotel project is developed under a management agreement with Rio Ave Ltda., a prominent, local real estate developer. This project, already in construction, will be the Rio Ave Ltda's first venture into the lodging sector and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2014, before the World Cup. The new Courtyard by Marriott property will be located ten minutes from the Guararapes International Airport, and situated in Recife's upscale Boa Viagem neighborhood known for its great shopping, five star restaurants, and close proximity to the beautiful beaches.

Wyndham Brand Opens First Hotel in Costa Rica
