Wyndham Hotel Group Expands Ramada Brand in Peru with Hoteles Costa del Sol

Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with over 7,150 hotels today announced an agreement with Hoteles Costa del Sol to franchise three new Ramada Hotels in Peru, thereby expanding the brand’s presence in the South American country to four locations. The three hotels, scheduled to fly the Ramada brand flag this week, add to the nearly 90 properties and over 9,000 rooms that are already part of Wyndham Hotel Group’s portfolio of hotels in Latin America.

Hyatt Announces Acquisition of Premier Mexico City Hotel in Polanco

Nearly 30 years after the opening of the first Hyatt hotel in Mexico, Hyatt Hotels Corporation(NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate intends to acquire the 756-room Hotel Nikko Mexico for approximately US$190 million from Japan-Mexico Hotel Investment Co., Ltd. The transaction is scheduled to close in May and, upon closing, the hotel will be rebranded as Hyatt Regency Mexico City. Hyatt will invest approximately US$40 million in a three-year renovation to strengthen the hotel"s competitive position as the preferred business and leisure hotel in Mexico City. With the hotel"s acquisition and rebranding, the Hyatt Regency brand will establish a strong presence in Mexico City with a leading business and leisure hotel located in Polanco, Mexico City"s most desirable area.

Hilton Worldwide Signs Two Management Agreements to Operate Hotels in the State of Queretaro, Mexico

Hilton Worldwide announced it has signed two management agreements to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Queretaro and a Hampton Inn by Hilton property in San Juan del Rio – both in the state of Queretaro, Mexico. Scheduled to open in Q3 and Q4 2012 respectively, the addition of these hotels will bring the total number of Hilton Worldwide properties operating in Mexico to 27.

IHG Continues Growth of Holiday Inn Brand in Latin America with the Signing of Three Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Colombia

The agreement calls for 3,000 guest rooms to be developed in the country through 2014. Currently, six deals have been finalized to open Super 8 hotels in Congonhas do Campo, Sete Lagoas, Betim, Lagoa Santa and Pouso Alegre with additional agreements anticipated to be executed this year.
