Pullman Hotels & Resorts continues its rapid expansion in China - with two recent openings in two weeks and a new development signing

Pullman Hotels & Resorts, an Accor premium hospitality brand, announced the opening of Pullman Jinhua – a 322-room hotel in the heart of Jinhua City in Zhejiang Province, one of the major cities in the Yangtze River Delta G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. The opening of Pullman Jinhua comes less than two weeks after Pullman Shenzhen North began welcoming guests – a superbly located hotel, high among the uppermost floors of the landmark North Station Huide Tower in the Longhua District of Shenzhen. Accor is also set to open Pullman Huai’an Falcon before year-end, while a new Pullman hotel development has just been signed at Tianfu International Health Town.

China’s Hotel Construction Pipeline Has Record High Project & Room Counts in Early Planning

In the recent China Construction Pipeline Trend Report from Lodging Econometrics (LE), LE analysts report that China’s total hotel construction pipeline, at the close of Q3 2022, stands at 3,604 projects/684,288 rooms, up 1% by projects and unchanged by rooms year-over-year (YOY).

Marriott Set To Expand Portfolio With 30 Select Service Hotels In Greater China By The End Of 2023

Marriott International, Inc., today announced plans to expand its select service portfolio in Greater China with the expected addition of 30 hotels in the segment by the end of 2023. The additions are fueled by the strong demand for Marriott’s select service accommodations in emerging destinations and complement an existing portfolio of more than 460 properties in the region. Marriott’s select service portfolio currently includes the following brands spanning across 67 cities in Greater China: Moxy Hotels, Fairfield by Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, AC Hotels by Marriott, Aloft Hotels, and Element Hotels.

China’s Hotel Construction Pipeline Hits Record High Upscale and Upper Midscale Project Counts at Q2 2022

According to the latest Construction Pipeline Trend Report from Lodging Econometrics (LE), the total China hotel construction pipeline stands at 3,693 projects/701,974 rooms. At the end of the second quarter, the country’s construction pipeline is slightly less than the all-time high of 3,711 projects/704,101 rooms set in the first quarter (2022) and is up 7% by projects year-over-year (YOY) and 6% YOY by rooms.

Accor and Sunmei Set to Open More Than 400 New Mövenpick Hotels Across China

Accor, a world leader in hospitality, today announced a new master franchise agreement with Sunmei Digital Intelligence Group to debut and develop Mövenpick by Accor brand across China.
