Ascott Residence Trust Is The First Hospitality Trust In Singapore To Secure Green Loan
Ascott Residence Trust (ART) has obtained a S$50 million five year green loan from DBS Bank Ltd (DBS), making ART the first hospitality trust in Singapore to secure a green loan. Proceeds from the green loan will be used to finance ART's maiden development project and coliving property, lyf one-north Singapore. lyf one-north Singapore is one of ART's 15 properties that attained green certifications in 2020, bringing the total number of ART's green properties to 21. This is about four times more green-certified properties compared to 2019.

IHCL Joins Hands With Tata Power For Solar Energy For Mumbai Hotels
MUMBAI, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), South Asia's largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a solar energy Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with TP Kirnali Solar Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited. IHCL hotels in Mumbai, namely The Taj Mahal Palace, Taj Lands End and Taj Wellington Mews, will get approximately 60% energy from Green Source and will reduce nearly 22.9 million kg of CO2 emissions on an annual basis. This agreement is valid for a period of 25 years.
